Looks wonderful will be a great atmosphere for homes games this year. I have checked the posts and could not find any info on what type of turf they installed. Does anyone know which company was used and which grade of turf was installed?

From what I can gather on the situation the game will more than likely be moved to that Monday. This is what is coming from some Alabamians. Which makes for a short week the next week.

Matt Moore was the offensive line coach at Troy University this past season, but has taken the O-Line job at Texas Tech with a hefty pay increase. John will do well at Troy as he played and coached at UK and helped Guy Morris at Baylor before going to Newport. John knows the vertical set passing game that Tony likes to use. Once he adjusts to Tony's offense I believe he will have them rolling.

Just read in the local newspaper that Coach Paul Gray resigned from Elizabethtown as a head coach. Who will get this hot job??

The best thing about this win is that Logan Baker is a fine young man and a team player. He has been in the shadows of older and perhaps more talented players the past two years, but there is not a harder worker or more respected player on the team. He has worked his tail off to become a better player and it showed tonight. To be the hero in the Corbin game is a great moment for him and his family. I am so happy for Logan and the rest of the Cards. 4 in a row over the Hounds!!!!

Chirs Berry (South Laurel) Played 4 year baseball and football at Morehead St. and 1 or 2 years of basketball. Three sports in college is not done as often now as back in the day.

Actually it is over 30 miles from South Laurel to Somerset, North Laurel is only slightly shorter to Somerset by a few miles. It is at least a 45 min to an hour to each actual school. Whitley Co. would be to far to well over a hour in travel. There is no reason for the two to be seperated, but if they do split them the logical option would be to have North Laurel in the Pulaski, SW, Mercer, Lincoln district as they have a straight shot to West 80.

I am not exactly for sure on this but Black and his staff were at the Franlkin Clinic this year and Whitley may look much like South Laurel, and Corbin are running.

We have been to it every year and the trophy for first place "a painted sledge hammer" has gotten smaller each year, LOL. It is an interesting and fun time. But we will not be there this year. Good Luck to all the teams.

Watching the 40 times at the comibne I say more than a few players that were given the wrong times. In a few heats I saw the kid who finished first did not get the fastest time of the 4 runners. I would not put a lot of stock in the 40 times. This more than likely came about becasue of the bad weather and trying to finish up in the cold rain before the sky totally opened up.

I don't know if that is true or not, I see more travel for teams if they decide on a 5 class system. With 6 classes the travel may be a little shorter. But again it all depends on where you are and where you are going to in the new classes.
