  1. Whatever. Again, we agree to disagree. DONE!
  2. You're right BuddyBW. From the street yesterday looking through the mesh covering on the fence in the rain, it was really hard to tell it was all one building. But this picture clearly shows it as one building. Thanks for the headsup access to this website. I use GoogleEarth.com all the time in my work. This is a much better service.
  3. It is somewhat of an optical illusion since the stands back right up to one building and then are in between a second and third building. I beleive the property was once owned by the Courier-Journal and was sold or donated to JCPS to build Central a newer stadium. Just repeating what I've heard. Don't take it as Gospel.
  4. Note the small parking lot at the South end of the stadium at the corner of 15th and Muhammed Ali Blvd. If you don't get there early you won't be parking in that lot.
  5. What is the relevency to the topic here? My comments are not about Championships. They are about preparing kids to step in in a leadership role when called upon to do so because of an injury. FYI - If the #1 is out due to injury, than the #2 is NOT a #2 anymore. They are the new #1.
  6. It was originally on the freshman schedule to be played at St. X. But it's good to remind everyone to come out and suppport the Baby Bengals. These guys lost their season opener to Moeller and haven't looked back. Keep it rollin' Boys! Let's make it 8 and 1. :thumb:GO TIGERS! :thumb:
  7. Sounds to me like things are lookin' pretty darn good for the next few years for the St. X Tigers! Congratulations JV Tigers on a fantastic season!
  8. I'm going to answer my own question. I got impatient and drove down there on my lunch hour. The field and the track surrounding it had no water standing any where. With having 3" to 4" of rain in the last 24 to 48 hours; that's a good sign. The field may still be soft, but it shouldn't be torn up at least at the start of the game.
  9. Excellent question. Does anyone know the answer? It's realatively new isn't it? If it's anything like Manuals field we all know the answer. Next to the archaic light system, the drainage on that field is in the top 5 things that need to be improved.
  10. No. All I'm saying is it doesn't develop kids that you might find you need in a game later in the season. But if that's the philosophy; that's thephilosophy. I just don't think it's a smart one. Obviously you do. Sounds like we'll have to agree to disagree.
  11. So you are saying that in game experience is not invaluable?
  12. I didn't read were jimmyref referred to those players down the line at the 3, 4 or 5 slots. I believe if I read it correctly he was asking where was the #2 players? "IN GAME" experience is IN-VALUABLE. You can practice against your own scout team all you want, it isn't the same as facing an opponent who wants to stop you from succeeding so they will succeed. PERIOD! It's a huge gamble to keep your #1 Starting QB, RB, WR DB, LB or S in the game until the end of a lopsided game. Each Player on the sideline is "ONE PLAY AWAY" from being called on to lead the team in their respective positions. If you withhold valuable experience from your #2 players; you are rolling the dice. It's a philosophy; I'm just not convinced it's a smart Philosophy? JMHO.
  13. No need for that, St. Matthews was St. Matthews long before Trinity was/is/became Trinity.
  14. Time to head to Checks! :thumb:GO TIGERS! :thumb:
  15. I think it says a lot for the game of football in the State of Kentucky that 16 of the 21 and 5 of the last 5 have stayed in State to play out their college careers.
  16. Good Job Junior Tigers! How is 32 - 12 closer than the score indicated? It seems like 20 points to me. Could someone who was there please give details!
  17. I'm not going to deny it - I agree with jimmyref. The upper half of the bracket with the acception of 1 or 2 games does look a lot less challenging. BUT, let's not forget ..... in a one and done situation strange things can happen.
  18. PR, Since I had heard so much about him, and my beloved Tigers were on a bye week, I went to the Shelby Co./Eastern game last Friday night just to see him. UPSIDE: Read the defense well; Good foot speed; Accurate passer; Seemed to be in control of his offense; Came back fighting when something bad happened, like being down two TD's. DOWNSIDE: Bad mechanics; Threw everything side armed; PERSONAL OPINION He's been able to get away with it because of his heighth; A good D-line with any height will cause him trouble down the road, IF he doesn't get it corrected.
  19. Just for the record: My vote for most improved goes to the Manual Crimsons. I think they have proven they can compete with the Big Three. I'm really looking forward to the "RIVELRY GAME". How long has it been since Manual came out on top
  20. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it; but, I need your help. I've gone back and re-read every post in this thread and somehow I keep missing the stipulation that reads "this is not a thread that ST. X should be discussed in". Would you mind going back and finding that for me? Improvement is improvement. It doesn't matter if you go from #100 to #1; or from #9 to #1. (Which, in my opinion, at the very best, is were St. X ended up last year, since there were 8 other teams that moved on past the 2nd round of the play-offs last year and St. X didn't.) The 2007 Tiger Squad has made great improvements over last years squad. Even the Rock's fans have recognized it in this very thread. (Which I know is hard for them.) As the old saying goes, "IF YOU CAIN'T RUN WITH THE BIG DAWGS, STAY ON THE PORCH" :thumb:GO TIGERS! :thumb:
  21. I think PRP will struggle to score on St. X's high speed defense. This is one of the fastest defenses I've seen at St. X in a long, long time. I predict another shutout by the Tigers: St. X - 41 PRP - 0 :thumb:GO TIGERS! :thumb:
  22. Congrats Babby Bengals! Keep up the good work.
  23. They've got the stadium for it now! Well almost. We just won't be able to invite the visiting teams fans to come watch the game. Unless they want to sit in their cars out on Newberg Road. :thumb:GO KNIGHTS! :thumb:
  24. The only BAD thing is: I have to wait a week to truly enjoy this wonderful FOOTBALL weather to its fullest extent. My beloved St. X Tigers don't play tonight. They have a Bye Week. But I will take in another game just east of Jefferson County. I'm lookin forward to seeing this Matthews kid for Shelby County. Anybody who can put up 555 yards in passing against Manual has got to be fun to watch.
  25. Send a Mod a PM asking them to ad one. Colts by 2 TD's. :thumb:GO COLTS! :thumb:
