  1. I know everyone probably knows the outcome of this First round game but it just doesn't seem right not having a thread about the game. Who wins? By how much?
  2. Xtiger69, I'm interested as to why you see this as "obvious"? I can not think of a single game this year that St. X has NOT had multiply injured players on the sideline. There have been players who have stepped up and filled the shoes of those injured players. This has enabled them to came away with the "W" on every occassion. These boys are hungry and want to win games. What is of concern to me is waiting until the second half to get out of the starting blocks! This is a trend I don't like and they've done it in five of the 10 games they've played this year. Good teams, winning teams, well coached teams, will bury you on your own field if you give them the opportunity. This has to be corrected for this to be a successful tournament run for St. X. The Tigers need to come out at the start of every game, knock their opponents to the ground at the beginning of the game, put the proverbial sword to their throats and have the wherewithal to run’em through. That said, I truly believe the coaches will have these guys ready. Starting this Friday against Butler. :thumb: GO TIGERS! :thumb:
  3. Very Cool! I do and I will. Thanks PeteW.
  4. Actually it's a mute point. Go look at the play-off brackets. If T keeps winning they have home field advantage all the way through the play-offs until they get to the Pizza Box.
  5. It's usually on Insight Channel 2. My question is what day and time?
  6. I agree 157. I wish I could be in two places at once. I'd love to see this game. I bet it's a good one. However, I have the distinct pleasure of being down the street and around the corner watching the Tigers. It's Senior Night ya'know. I think I better be there.
  7. Okay, I remember the tie-breaker now. You get one point for every win of the opponents you beat on your schedule. Therefore the games this weekend do mean something, but it's more for 3rd and 4th place. Right?
  8. FYI - Here is District 6's current standings: District 6 Team..................District.......Over All Name..................Record.........Record Boone Co......... .....4-0-0.........6-3-0 Simon Kenton.........2-2-0.........5-4-0 Ryle......................2-2-0.........6-4-0 Campbell Co...........2-2-0.........6-3-0 Conner..................0-4-0.........1-8-0
  9. Every district in class 6A has completed their district games. Every Districts pairings have been posted on the KHSAA web-site accept District #6. I realize this is because there is a three (3) way tie for second place in that district. But what is the tie-Breaker? Does anybody know? I looked on the KHSAA web-site and couldn't find it. I must admit I gave up pretty quickly, because typing this thread is faster than navigating their web-site.:scared: http://www.khsaa.org/football/2007/fb6a2007.htm
  10. Which ever way you choose to look at it, the Male/Manual game is still in the top ten. That's impressive. Not just for the Rams and the Dawgs, but for the entire City Of Louisville and football in the State!
  11. Deuce - Here's to a speedy recovery. Come back quick and stronger. We need ya buddy! :thumb:GO TIGERS! :thumb:
  12. I'll 2nd that; or 3rd that; or 4th that; or whatever position I'm in that!
  13. I found this to be very impressive from the same LINK: RIVALRIESAll-Time Longest Rivalries (In Terms of Games) 1.) 143 Westerly, RI vs. Stonington, CT (1911-2004) 2.) 143 New London, CT vs. Norwich Free Academy, CT (1875-2004) 3.) 136 Millville, NJ vs. Vineland, NJ (1894-2004) 4.) 134 Douglas, AZ vs. Bisbee, AZ (1906-2004) 5.) 126 Middletown, NY vs. Port Jervis, NY (1897-2004) 6.) 121 Louisville Male, KY vs. Louisville duPont Manual, KY (1893-2004) 7.) 121 Piqua, OH vs. Troy, OH (1899-2004) 8.) 118 Boston Latin, MA vs. Boston English, MA (1887-2004) 9.) 118 Philadelphia William Penn Charter, PA vs. Fort Washington Germantown Academy, PA (1887-2004) 10.) 117 Wellesley, MA vs. Needham Heights Needham, MA (1882-2004)
  14. Or EKU; Or Murray; Or NKU; Or Georgetown; Or _______________. (Any Kentucky College/University who has a Football Program) Gotta spread the Love.
  15. As long as you leave the 6A game in Papa Johns or Commonwealth I think this would be okay.
  16. A 10,000 seat stadium is only half the size of what you need. If is even moderately good weather that weekend in December, it would be standing room only when St. X and Trinitity come to town. You'd have a lot of :mad:MAD:mad: Tigers and Rocks to deal with ...... How would that go over? Not very well I'm affraid.
  17. Tony! What other big town is there besides Louisville and Lexington; St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Nashville are not in the State of Kentucky. We need to keep it in the State. Dude, or should that be Dudette?
  18. Oxnard, I agree 110%. I posted in the post game thread that I thought X actually became less predictable with a run by committee back field after Deuce was forced to the sideline. Central had no idea who the ball was going to, they looked confused more often than not. This years X squad has a blistering amount of talent at every position in all three classes from the Seniors through the Juniors and yes even the Sophomores. Those opponents who think this makes X vulnerable are going to be in for a rude awakening come game time. Whenever Deuce does come back, and he will be back, he will be just as deadly as he has been all season. :thumb:GO TIGERS! :thumb:
  19. :sssh: :sssh: :sssh: :sssh: :sssh: They don't know that!
  20. For once I agree with PepRock. I know! I know! There's not a cloud in the sky and lightening is going to strick twice pretty soon. J/K  This is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, rivelry in the State of Kentucky, maybe in this part of the country. Both are pretty evenly matched for the first time in a long time. If it gets a little lopsided by half time, you can travel two blocks East and two blocks South and take in the second half of the St. X / Cov. Cath. game. Let us know which game wins the pleasure of your attendance.
  21. The Stadium is on the corner of 15th Street and Muhammed Ali Blvd. (Walnut Street for the old guys.) DIRECTIONS: -I-71 South to I-64 West (Follow signs as if going to St. Louis, MO.) -Get off at the 9th Street exit in downtown Louisville. -Go 2-3 blocks to Mahammed Ali Blvd and turn Right. -Go 6 blocks to 15th Street and start looking for a place to park after you pass under the railroad overpass. Very limited parking you may want to carpool as much as possible.
  22. A very important point, JR. I really felt Central was keying on Deuce in the first half. They knew he was the go to guy on most of X's running plays. In the second half it truly became a run by committee offensive attack and Central had a harder time figuring out who X was going to go to to run the ball. Jerimiah Neal, Wootus as he's refered to, had a break out game. Several good long runs for impressive yardage. Not bad for a Sophmore. Just for the record, I nailed the score on this game from the prediction thread. Even a blind squarrial gets a nut every once in a while. Good Job Tigers. Let's keep it rolling.
  23. Congrats on a Great Season Baby Bengals! GO TIGERS! :thumb:
