So is Kidwell a done deal? And whoever is the new boys coach better role up there sleeves there is alot of work that needs to be done.

Interesting observation. I have thought this was Fraley's job from the get go. Dodd can coach he knows the game. I think Dodd likes the 16th and IF he gets a second chance like the GC job he may do some things differently. However I too believe that Fraley is the next head coach at GC. I'm sure that GC has contacted Russell and got some of the Dodd scoop which couold hurt him in the long run for the GC job! However I know nothing I'm an outsider of both schools looking in.

Yea I would hate #1 seeds and 30 win seasons ,SEC titles ,and Elite eights too! That type of failure is unbearable. I really enjoy 13 loss seasons with 1st round bounce outs in the SEC an NCAA!!!

NO WAY! Did either of them even win an SEC Tournament Title? Also someone posted that they laid the foundation for great things to come. This is all speculation and let's remember these two lead the Cats to their first, first round defeat since 1987! (Go Bucks!). Only UK fans can turn a 18-13 season with a spin. Tubby never not won 20 and he got forced out. 18-13 1st round loss is not a postive direction for great things to come at UK!

I agree I think it should be Coach Kidwell's if he wants it. However his girls program is rolling right now and the boys aren't near as good so I wouldn't blame him if he wants to stay put. I think he would do an outstanding job, but the boy's program graduated 3 starters off a 3-26 team. The new coach has alot of work to do.

Coach Kidwell should get the job. He is an excellent coach and very respected with the Russell community. However he has done a nice job with the girls program so he could be in a situation that he may not want to leave. Honestly after seeing the boys play and the future, the girls may be the better choice. JMO!

When are the Euton's moving? I will go on to speculate that the Rose Hill girls job and AD position will be open as well. This IMO is just as big a blow as Dakota. Pam has been the girls basketball coach, volleyball coach, and AD. I admit it that I have bashed Rose Hill , but I have recently worked with Pam Euton on things concerning girls sports in the 16th region and she has been nothing but a pleasure and a model representative of Rose Hill. I have enjoyed her ideas and concerns and we are not best of friends, but I do consider her a friend in the business and wish the family the best.

John Scott Carver at Raceland can flat out hit the ball. He batted .445 last season with some homeruns. His first varsity homer came as a freshman. i believe this junior will put up some big Homerun and RBI totals for Hoof this season.

Pearl is not respected, BCG does not deserve this award. Pelphrey at Arkansas overachieved after inheriting a program on the decline, and Pearl should not have to share this award. IMO the SEC COY is a joke!

Nice job Marissa! I know the teams of the 16th are happy that you are gone, but they are also happy that you are doing extremely well. Keep up the good work! Marissa was a perfect example of what a high school student athlete should be! I have the upmost respect for her as a person and an athlete.

Point is that UAB is not a bad program and has had some sucess. UAB is not a mid major. C-USA is the bottom of the power conferences. However what's UK's record vs C-USA this season? UAB and Houston?:sssh:

The "champ" just got knocked down by UAB and I love it! I throughly enjoyed my time at UAB. It is a great campus and Birmingham is actually a nice city! Little Blue "BLAZER" (hence the name ,was born there.) The day we beat UK was special in Birmingham we were celebrities and the next week was fun. Until the Jayhawks peeled our heads back. Cousins will enjoy UAB, and I wish the program great success I will always feel apart of UAB basketball. Also check the NCAA tourney records in 3 appearances vs UK, the Blazers are 2-1.

The Lady Rams are all class. Last night I was so proud of their efforts on the court, they showed great determination and perservance throughout the season. However the most moving part of last nights championship probably went unnoticed by many. Raceland junior Jesse Clark took Greenup Co.'s Ashley Grizzle a card signed by the Raceland team and hugged her during the all-district celebration. They took time to recognize this young lady who played so well this week through the loss of her sister. The girls really are all heart on and off the court. This is why Raceland is so special and these young ladies have been able to achieve so much. Great job parents, teachers, and coaches!

Greenup Co. self reported violations and the KHSAA investigation turned up absolutely nothing. Go figure that one for what it is worth! I guess add Greenup Co. to the list!

I'm glad the kids got the money and they deserve that. I just wish BCG's character off the court would reflect what a coach at UK should be IMO! Yes I'm admitting it that I personally want him to fail as bad as most fans are pulling for him to succeed! I honestly haven't watched UK play in weeks because I personally can't stand seeing him on the sidelines. I have met BCG when he was the coach at UTEP and I feel the same way about him then as I do now. I was in a tourney with him in El Paso while I was at UAB I spent several days in his company and I along with some others developed some good friends on the trip and some dislikes and BCG was a dislike!

I'm glad he donated for the children's sake that is appreciated!

All for show in my opinion he is not near as genuine as previous coaches at UK and time will tell and reveal the true character of this guy. He needs the support from the community because he has not been seen in a positive light!

If those 3 are the best I would hat to see the 16th region's worst! They called nothing and let the game get out of control. I thought the game IMO was officiated very poorly! (On both sides) They were consistently horrible for both teams!
