Yes they are because of where they work and what they portray to the public. I'm sorry it may not be right, but they just are held to the same standards as ministers. If a coach wears a shirt that has a cross and says Pray Hard and they challenge a fan to fight in the parking lot after the game then their witness is shot down in my eyes. It is just the truth whether you like it or not people expect more of them.

First of all you must know that there are several former Rose Hill school attenders who have been in trouble with the law. Secondly yes the Royals should have a good season. Thirdly no school is perfect. Lastly my problem with Rose Hill is basically adminstration and the way they have gone about things IMO the wrong way. I think that is what most peoples problem with RH stems from. There are some excellent kids at RH, and there are some questionable just like at every other school, I hold the adults at RH to a higher standard because of the faith, and they have been the ones to turn me against the school. It wasn't the kids. They are some talented individuals.

You can think whatever you like. They still to win as many games as anyone else to reach the finals, and they did just that.

Once your "potential" does something of consequence in KY high school hoops, let me know. Until then I will side with the schools, players, and coaches who have actually accomplished something. 7th and 8th grade games as well as JV games may give you something to look forward to, but as we all know, the foundation can quickly crumble........

I dont know what makes you think that the defending 64th district champs and 16th region runner-up would be on a "downward spiral". While RH who has not made a regional appearance in 4 years would be on the rise. Potential is just that...I'll take proven winners.....

My point is that AAU success does not always translate to success on the high school hardwood. This is evident at RH. Now that may not be true in the future, but it has been true so far. I dont care if Euton and Jackson avg. 20 and 10. Because its obvious they need to do more than that to advance to Mhead, or get some serious contributions from all those players you named, that have yet to do anything of consequence when it comes to Kentucky High School Basketball. Am I wrong?

I don't mean for my comments to be "veiled". I'm just simply stating my opinion, along with some facts here and there. Whether they are "anti-RH" as you say, thats fine. I don't have to like everyone, or the way they do things. It doesn't hurt my feelings at all if people say those opinions are "anti- anything. My stance is typically pro Golden Gopher, and if pro GG also means pro Ashland, then so be it. I don't expect anyone else to apologize for their loyalties, as I don't expect to have to apologize for mine.

Well its very possible that Elliott Co.'s involvement in AAU somewhat differs from the reason RH is so heavily involved in AAU, right? It's also possible that Elliott's success has nothing to do with AAU at all, and is simply the result that they have great players. Players and a team that are far superior to those at RH....

Well this thread is about the 16th region and that includes the 64th district. As much as you RHer's would like for AAU games to count as district and region games they don't. So bringing up AAU this and AAU that is basically meaningless. And what does it say about your team when they play against elite competition in AAU games all summer, and then can't win a game in the district tourney. Obviously all those AAU games havent helped enough. Am I wrong?? Obviously, Ashland doesn't need to have a major investment in AAU to field a better team than RH year after year.....

How about this...RH (Euton and Jackson) don't have experience winning big games (District games) with their RH teammates, whereas Elliott Co. and even Ashland for that matter does. Its easy to win AAU games when your roster is loaded with other players of the same caliber.
