Great Win for Simon Kenton in the house of Hank! I have to admit I hated to see the streak end tonight, because I was really looking forward to the Rams ending it next year at the Hank, and spoiling the perfect regular season this year. Anyway I'm sure Coach Morris will sure up the defense for next week and the Devil faithful shouldn't panic.......yet(week 10) is still 14 days away!!!

Raceland ran the ball extremely well tonight. Denton and Carver were forces. The Rams did give up some points, but the object is to score more than your opponents. However Paintsville has some nice skill players who make plays. Paintsville has a nice team, but tonight I was surprised at the special teams play for the Tigers. They converted on no extra points after scores, and EVERY kickoff was onside. They gave the Rams the short field all night long. Raceland capitalized on the field position all night long and the kicking game for the Rams was so much better. Sparks pinned them deep all night, and and hit 6/8 extra points. Paintsville turnovers were very costly, but the Rams made a statement on the road. The Rams will now turn focus to Nicholas Co. and take care of business at home to secure that home playoff game. Coach Hoof will have them ready and I'm sure come Monday he will have them shaping up on the mistakes tonight. The good news is we looked better tonight than last week and that's the key this time of year to be ready for the playoffs each week improving and be ready to peak at the right time.

I can confirm that there has been quite a bit of drama going on lately....a lot of officials are not happy.

Raceland had several opportunities to blow this game wide open. Raceland led 15-0 at the half. The Rams gave up one long run, had a touchdown called back, and kneel on the ball at the five the last 2 minutes of the game. Hoof is a class act and was not trying to push in another score in the last 2:00 minutes withthe game decided. Boyles was also picked off in the endzone, and Raceland missed 2 PAT's and a FG. Rams played a little sloppy and Paris has some very good skill guys. Rams also played without 2 lineman the make a difference. It was a good district win for the Rams on the road 2 hours from home. The Raceland coaches will get to work and clean some things up don't worry! Raceland controlled this game. I'd say Paris had negative yards for the game, and probably about 3 first downs. This was not the Rams best game, but it was a district win on the road, and I'd say anyone who has ever been involved in sports would say they would rather win ugly than lose pretty! The score doesn't indictate how much Raceland controlled the game!

Wow, a Hager grad! That begs the question, where did you graduate high school?

The talent from 9th-7th grade is VERY good. There are several very good athletes from each grade. This 7th grade group includes several members of the Hager Elementary basketball team that won 53 straight basketball games over 2 seasons. Add these groups to a nice sophmore class that includes RB Rashard Carter, Drew Royalty QB, and FB Josh Alber. The Tomcats could be very dangerous in 2 years.

Sounds good to me. It honestly makes no difference to me whether anyone else agrees with my opinion or not. People can move their kids wherever they want, but they just need to be prepared to lie in the bed they have made, for themselves and their children.

I know that you desperately want everything to be about RH, but its just not. You bring them up in this thread and this has nothing to do with their middle school "football program". Its nice to talk about middle school football, but it basically means NOTHING when you have NO HIGH SCHOOL TEAM. :thumb:

He looked pretty good. Chris will most likely play another position, with him being sandwiched between Drew Royaly (10th grade) and QB of the future Sam Hunter (8th grade).

I dont know. But there is one thing that I know for sure. This thread has NOTHING to do with Rose Hill "football". Please understand that not everything revolves around the relationship, or lack of relationship between Ashland and RH. If you would like to start a thread about RH middle school "football" then you should do that.

Absolutely! The middle school teams have also been KILLING teams. They play Tuesday at 5:30 and 7:00 at Putnam.

Total domination by a nice combination of Ashland freshman and JV players. Doesnt look like BC has much talent in their system at all....

I forgot to mention how well Steven Carver played on the D-line! He was everywhere!
