Taylor Walker and Trey Keeton. I do not know their status at this time. Keeton sat on the sidelines for most of the game with his shoulder pads off.

Yes, and look at the personel on that team. A backfield of Thomas, Johnson, and Hutt may come around once in a lifetime. That was a geat team, but that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the '07 Tomcats. The past is nice, but it doesnt help us score TD's this season.

You can keep on griping and complaining about all things Tomcat if you want. But our fantastic Head Coach Leon Hart will be back next year. Take it to the bank, I know this to be a fact.

Actually Ashland's backup QB Sophomore Andrew Royalty is very capable. He should step into the starting job next year and have an excellent season! He's around 6'1 180 lbs.The QB going to BC you must be referring to is Lance Evans son of BC coach Lee Evans. I believe Lance is in 7th grade.

You are correct. I just feel that negative opinions and statements serve no purpose. If you feel better now because you expressed your opinion, then fine. I just think there are more constructive ways to get the same point across.

Comments like this do nothing to help. I know there were people sitting around me who left the game early and missed Ashland's terrific comeback. If all you can add to the conversation are negative comments and sarcastic remarks, it would be better if you just kept those thoughts to yourself. This is a young team with almost no varsity experience who in their first varsity experience: 1. Came back from a 14 point deficit in 10 minutes. 2. Showed a lot of heart. 3. A sophomore ran for 236 yards and 2 TD's. 4. Forced 2 turnovers inside the 10 yard line. 5. And lost to a good team on a 40 yard field goal with no time left. See its not so bad. Ashland has a great coach and a talented team. I'm sure you felt the same way this time last year, before they won 8 straight.

I agree. With Matt running the option the Tomcat offense was on track in the 2nd half. Teams will have to pick their poison. Do you let Thomas keep the ball or make him pitch it to the sophomore phenom? Rashard Carter is as good, if not better back than Thomas. Ashland will be fine this season. This was the first varsity experience for everyone on the field except Ryan Bonner and Thomas. You cant expect perfection so early. Just be patient and let Coach Hart and the boys get things goin.
