:thumb: Kasey has really worked hard and hopefully it will payoff this week when football recruiting goes back live! The Russell seniors had a tremendous run going 40-4, 1 State Title, 1 State runner-up, and the 13-1 season that ended in the Semi-State to eventual champion Belfry! I'm sure many will shed :cry: because Russell will really miss this group of seniors!

Well of course the Merger team is better this season they have more athletes to choose from. I thought they were pretty good last year. Russell did man handle them in round 2 of the playoffs, but adding a whole new school system obviously helps out the team. No offense but the Titans is a little cheesy IMO! Nevertheless hopefully the Devils spoil THE DREAM season of the GIANTS(literally) of 2A! Go Devils Go! Bring it back to Flatwoods Again!

Anyway there will be a good game at the Pizza Box Friday at 11:30 am Merger County vs. Russell. They are both 2 deserving teams to play for a State Title hopefully the school system in Merger County will bring alot a fans and answer some of the bussing questions of which pep buses the students will ride to Louisville on! Seriously though has the merger caused any friction with this team? And it could play out in a close game it could be interesting to see there reactions in adversity!

:thumb: Your right is was the correct call. It was a great effort and he was frustrated. I love to see a kid play with that much heart and emotion most kids wouldn't have even tried to make the play down 3 scores with 3 minutes to go he busted his tail to try to make a play. I don't agree with his argument with the official let the coaches do that, I do applaud his heart and desire! I appreciate that because I'm kinda emotional too;) :lol:

Yes this is correct and 1 of those carries was 11 yards on a 3rd and 9. He caught 4 passes for 89 yards so in the big defensive stuggle he had over 100 yards of offensive and one of the big catches also was a pass interfence penalty on third down. The first TD was a great catch as well!

Russell is more than Kasey Clark. Jones, Beekman, Wills, Sizemore, Wells, Gullett, and Hicks are all big time players and can hurt a team in many different ways. If you key on stopping Clark's running game he torches you receiving( see Corbin and Belfry games) Jones can beat you running the ball (see both Fleming Co. games) Frazier has had big receiving nights and the Devil D tonight was unbelievable! Congratulations to the Devils go win another State Title and to Belfry wow first class program with first class facilities. When we were leaving Cam several fans stopped us and made comments like go win it again or man that was great D. We all really respect your program and class. The Belfry fans are top notch and the way you support your kids is great.

It seems as though some of the Corbin fans are a little bitter by Mr. Touchdown scoring #100 on them and setting up the field goal with the big catch over your DB. Please remember your talking about a seventeen year old who has more wins and titles than you can imagine. 39-3 as a starter to go with a playoff record of 11-1 which is a whole other season. Congratulations you shut his run down! Great job by the Hounds D-line. He really showed his versatility by ripping the Hounds receiving. There wasn't one DB that could contain him in the open field. 3 TD's and 125 yards of offense. 2 4th downs converted to TD's ,Boy you Hound fans are tough to impress considering The Corbin team lost more game this season than he has lost in his entire career. However you won't need to worry about him again unless your a big college football fan. Also I believe if Kasey Clark moved to Corbin you fans would welcome him with wide open arms! He did hang 18pts on the Hounds!

Well if your questioning Kasey Clark he had 3 TD's all the recieving yards and 2of the 3 biggest defensive plays of the game. He is 39-3 as a starter so if you want to call Kasey "Look at Me" Clark then let's add it to Kasey( just watch me and my TEAM win) Clark! 3 District Championships 3 Region Championships 3 straight Semi states and 1 State Championship so far #2 pending the kid is a winner enough said!:fight:

That's what makes Clark great if you take away the run he beats you with the pass or he knocks you stiff on defense or returns a kick creates a defensive TD. He also makes the others around him better and that is why he is such a special football player! Tyler is a great player as well and they definetly benefit from each other. If you noticed all his passing yards were to Clark! The Devils have several weapons!

I would also like to add a congratulations to Coach Vanderhoof! What a remarkable year for him personally. He guided the Rams baseball team to the 16th Region title game and the winningest season in baseball history and then started in July and did the same thing with football. District Champs and Region Title game and the winningest season in Ram Football history. The only thing that I didn't mention about Coach Vanderhoof is he is a better character than coach so our kids couldn't ask for a better role model! He is both a GREAT Coach and a Tremendous Person!! I would like to tell him thanks for all he does to help the kids of Raceland be successful athletes and become quality men!!

:eek: That was one of the hardest hits I've seen in H.S. football and then the Punt coverage with 1:06 remaining was awesome too! I agree this was a great preparation for Belfry you know that they will be extremely physical!

Raceland Football Players and Staff you made all of the alumni and community proud! We are extremely proud of all your work and dedication! Thanks for a wonderful season. Remember that once a Ram ALWAYS A RAM! The nice thing about Raceland is that you will always be apart of something that is greater than yourself! You'll see that and you will really treasure that when you are older. It is even more important than the wins and losses!

I agree the officials missed the call on the punt return. The whistle never blew the ball downed and how about the hits the Kasey Clark put on the last 5 minutes of the game! WOW that hit after the 4th down gave the Devils some energy and momentum back! The last two defensive series Kasey flew to the ball carriers and recievers like Troy Polamalu!!

orisonspi, I wish you knew the family. We say pass the potatoes and the formation the Pirates used in the Prestonsburg game. I'd like some mor gravy and do think they will stack up the box on Kasey, and I'd like some apple pie, and hopefully that will be intercepted at a critical time in the dinner so I don't get too stuffed.

I thought the comment that Kasey Clark made after the game was sincere and classy when he said in front of a reporter the he was really and truly hoping that Scott Grizzle and the Rams would get a chance to play on the carpet at Louisville. He said it would be really cool if both teams could make it to State and play back to back.

Kasey had two scores tonight and caught some nice passes and a nice kick return as well. He ha s 39 TD's for the season. He started the game with a fumble return for a TD. He had 65 yard rush for a TD called back.

I heard that Wayne Co. beat Corbin???

impressive win for the rams...i have a feeling that the raceland coaching staff will have thier players ready for a repeat performance this week..

Great news for Nick! He is also a great kid! I won't ever forget how big he played against OCath in last years State Championship! I'm glad he's healing and the senior should get another shot at playing football before graduation!
