How many semifinalists return from last year?

 

I know in 2A there are 3 that were there last year.

 

Owensboro Catholic, Belfry and Russell were all semifinalists from 2005.

What about the other classes?

NCC, Somerset, and Mayfield I believe were all Class A Semi-Finalist last season!

BG is back in. Last year it was BG, Bullitt East, Lex Cath and Rockcastle. (If my memory is correct.)

In 4A, Henry Clay and Trinity are in.

Bowling Green is back in 3A

Mayfield, NCC, and Somerset in Class A

Class 1A - Mayfield, NCC, Somerset

Class 2A - Belfry, Owensboro Catholic, Russell

Class 3A - Bowling Green

Class 4A - Trinity, Henry Clay

 

Is that all of them? I know in 4A, 3 is the most we could have, right? T and X were an either or option this year. In 2A, though, all 4 could have made it, but Mercer came out of the region where DeSales was last year.

 

So we have 9 out of 15 possible repeat semifinalists.

Trinity's had Thanksgiving practice 6 of the last 7 years.

It's not an overly surprising occurence...over the past few years it seems that you find the same teams at this point on the whole over and over.
