Tournment seems to have lost some fire, some great suggestions to move to different locations in the 13, 14, and 15th regions. Rotate similar to the regional tournment sites and hold during Christmas break. Would have to help.

Clay at home by six or more, Is this district seeded? If so who is in this district and how are the games going?

IMO Pineville should be above Cawood, they are a more solid team, without Smith Harlan and LC could go either way. Overall a fine list of teams :thumb:

I agree with getting the ball to the post if at all possible each trip down the floor, the center doesn't always have to shoot but it keeps the defense honest. 3 ft. shot are always easier to hit than contested 25 ft. shots. Guffy seems to be getting more from his players than early in the season, I found it odd last night that Whitley was shooting the double bonus half-way into the 2nd quater and no fouls had been called at all on Whitley Co., part of the reason this game was closer than many may have thought it would be. If the seniors for Lynn Camp would somehow play together and not worry who the star of the game may be, the cats could be a very dangerous team.

About 15 years ago I was watching a boys middle school game, one of the coaches about 45 years old was up yelling at the officals and jumping around. He got really excited and his false teeth popped out of his mouth, the teeth flew about 10 feet under the other teams chairs, he ran over got down on his hands and knees and grabbed his teeth, looked at them, put them back in and started yelling at the refs again, the crowd went crazy.

When you are number 1 better not overlook a good team bad things may happen.

Even though they sat most of the game last night vs Whitley any chance the main players for South were a little tired and maybe had a small lack of focus after being in part of the blowout game then going to school ( I assume) then having to travel 21/2 or so hours. Hate they lost but a game like this could go a long way in helping the Cards repeat this year.

a GREAT post, I have watched Jermey Saunders over the last 5 or 6 years in middle and high school, if most of their players have an attitude like his I can see why you feel this way a quality young man.

add Travis Ford and Scott Draud and this is a very good list IMO

Coach Wright and staff don't miss a trick thats why they are so successful, I guess Whitley played most of the game againest players more their own age so they are improving, alot of good young players in the 13th this year.

The Tigers are road tested a good win for them, low scoring game. Anyone know how the seeding of this district will go if Central beats P'ville who beat Lynn Camp who beat Central. What if LC pulled off a huge upset on Friday and beat Bville and Pineville wins over Central? Confusing to me.

John Smith one of the best in the 13th out for the season , so this score is a shocker, way to step it up for the rest of the Green Dragons.

A great win for LC, I dont remember a win over Knox Central in the 90's 1966 sounds more right. Unlike the game againest Pineville LC got the ball inside to Dixon in the first half, he finished with 13 or 14 points at the half 16 for the game and got some key players for Central in foul trouble, in the second half the panthers played alot of double team on the post leaving driving lanes to the basket that Bray and Siler used their quickness to get to the basket, by far the best game for Siler as a wildcat, Bray showed his talent by playing under control and taking good shots. Making free throws as a team was also huge. Repeat the inside out game plan Friday and the Cats could give B'ville a tough game on the Tigers home floor.

Looked to me like he started going off when someone else was put on him. He (Day) is a large fellow and a good low block player.

Sounds like Whitley played much better at home, Tate seems to be playing really well for Corbin. Corbin has alot of talent and will continue to get better.

Where was this game played? Any stats? Smith must be hurt pretty bad and not playing for Harlan, he is a fine young man and a very good player.

Best I can remeber he went out of the game and when he came back he was on one of he guards outside, why? Don't know. Tanner had the big boy inside.

I agree every game LC has lost this year they have had a terrible quater. Why? Awful shot selection from two or three players, Not playing solid D, Not getting back on D, other than Dixon noone rebounding, seems some are more content to just shoot and score than try to do what it takes to win big games. Pineville was a good TEAM, I agree they are underrated, but their coach may be the one most underratted! In the first half the post for LC was doubled and sometimes tripled teamed, in the third LC did not adjust and fired away from every where, playing into P'ville's hands, thus the blowout 3rd. A large crowd at the game from up top it sounded like more than 3/4 of the people were loudly yelling for P'ville great fan support for them. In the first half Day with help played to a stand-off with Dixon, LC changed their D most of the second half and Dixon played out on the floor, Day had six at the half, 24 for the game. Great win for Mt.Lions, hard to understand how LC Would lose by so many at home.

For Lynn Camp I hope you meant star running back QB was ok did his job but no star, Danville will be in a class by itself imo.

I dont know about Bell and Cawood they may be going in the other direction, Bell really misses the older Whitker. Corbin and Clay should both get much better after the winter break, Harlan IMO hasn't lived up to the preseason hype yet, but they may as the season goes on.

For a school their size B'ville seems to have earned alot of resepct. Things sure went the Tigers way in the CFIT, how would they have faired playing the team from South Car. we will never know, but they beat who they had to win the tourney. A Corbin vs B'ville final would have been an interesting game.
