Wildcats outscored Panthers 25-8 in the fourth quarter and beat Central for the first time since 1966 (that's what I was told).

Adam Bray led the way with 20 in cluding 10 in the fourth frame.

Joe Silr had 18.

Williamson led KC with 16 points.

Good game for the Campers.

Nope. They played everyone. Miller and Williamson was in foul trouble, but LC's Tanner foulded out a half minute into the fourth quarter.

Central led 47-39 with 4:46 left in the third quarter before the Campers outscored them 46-15 the remainder of the game.

Lynn Camp played their best game of year. They played 4 quarters, and was able to maintain their focus. I could be wrong but I thought LC beat Central in the late 90's. Great win for the program, and something to build on. Hopefully it will carry over against B-ville.

Teams such as Barbourville who make you play defense and who play sound, fundamental basketball have really created problems for Lynn Camp the last couple of years. If they can make a game of it with the Tigers, then they are making strides toward fighting for the distict title.

Seems like a step backward for a KC team that looked like it was improving rapidly.

To be honest,

I don't think it was a step backwards at all. The Panthers were in control for almost three quarters. Some key players got into foul trouble and that hurt them. By no means was this game a blowout throughout.

A great win for LC, I dont remember a win over Knox Central in the 90's 1966 sounds more right. Unlike the game againest Pineville LC got the ball inside to Dixon in the first half, he finished with 13 or 14 points at the half 16 for the game and got some key players for Central in foul trouble, in the second half the panthers played alot of double team on the post leaving driving lanes to the basket that Bray and Siler used their quickness to get to the basket, by far the best game for Siler as a wildcat, Bray showed his talent by playing under control and taking good shots. Making free throws as a team was also huge. Repeat the inside out game plan Friday and the Cats could give B'ville a tough game on the Tigers home floor.

My mistake they didn't beat them in the late 90's, it was B-ville they beat. LC has lost some close games to Central in the last 7 or 8 years, but finally got over the hump tonight.

Agreed, it's actually more of the same. With the exception of SL and Barbourville, KC has led nearly every game in the 3rd only to blow a lead in the 4th. Maybe one of our basketball experts can tell me why.

I thought LC played a lot better defense tonight. They were getting back on defense and not letting KC have easy baskets. The inside game for LC was the big difference in this game. When KC tried to double team DIXON he did a good job of kicking the ball back out to the open man.Huge win for LC hope they can keep improving and put 4 quarters together against B-ville.Lynn Camp could be a very dangerouse team in this district tournament if the can do the little things right like rebound and play defense cause they have the talent to upset some teams.

Last night's game was the best I've seen a Lynn Camp team play. When they play as a TEAM, they are very good. It was a total team effort last night. From the starters to the bench players, everyone played well.
