Good win and congrats Eagles over a good PCC team. Brad Lowe is my player of the year in the 15th. The region is wide open.

Today starts the greatest game in America for High School players in Kentucky. This is the one sport where one player doesnt dominate the game unless he is a stud pitcher. Everyone gets to bat when it is their turn and everyone gets to field the ball hit to them. Their are no blocking schemes set up to let RB dominate every game, and no screens to set up a shot like basketball. It is the ULTIMATE team game. I for one love it. Cant wait now till opening day. I like football and basketball but nothing compares to this.

I just think this would be an interesting format. Probably single elim.

I would be in favor of the class sytem with a blind draw for the 4 winners to play each other and then have a champion of champions.

I will take exception to the comment on Heath and Owensboro Catholic, they are state caliber teams and could have won the open state just as easily as Lex. Christian did. As a matter of fact both won All A titles and LCA did not. In a tourney anything can happen and usually does. LCA is a class group dont get me wrong. I know them personally. The last two years the All A State participants have faired well in the Statewide Tourney with LCA winning it all last year. You are obviously from Lex and dont understand the difficulties in winning it all from a student body of 300 or less. Pikeville has had a great team the last two years who took LCA to extra innings in 2004 in the All A Semi's but that doesnt happen to often when a small school can compete with the larger ones. The All A doesnt seem so watered down if you do your homework. Especially in 2004 I think 4 teams in the Elite 8 were All A size Schools.

Valley doesnt have a lot of talent to work with since most of the kids quit playing after little league. However Patrick Smith will be good one.

I would like to see a class system myself. I wish the powers that be would at least post all-sate status somewhere each year. I havent seen one for 2 years now. A class system might favor the private schools in the smaller classes would be the only downside that I see to it.

We will roll out the carpet for the King. If he will let me know I will see if they will let school out and have a parade.

Maybe this year but the last few years the 15th has faired well out ot the region.

Steve is a QUALITY young man and a great player. I am sure he had some jitters against the Number 1 team in the country. He will bounce back and do well. I for one am pulling for him.

The officiating is horrible across the board in the 15th. Just like Umpires there is NO consistency.

If you knew, me you would understand or if you hunted you would have a clue. Thanks for the vote at least I may finish first at something. Ha! Ha! Have a good one as well. As for calling people out I only did this because in a loss, the JC fans are called out. Again I am from Pikeville, so I can look at all the JC posts from an unbiased point of view. Where are Addidas and KingJames? Always bashing them when they lose. No where to be found. Good game Eagles.

All mentioned are great coaches, I will throw in Coach Lawson at Pikeville has done quiet well with a true Single A school.

Actually according to KHSAA Beechwood was 86 - 15 in the last three years and 100 - 25 in the last four years. Both are quite impressive. Pikeville was 105-43 during the last 4 years and 63-15 in the last two years. Good luck sounds as though you have a great team returning.

The Region is wide open right now. I dont see anyone clear cut above the others. This probably doesnt bode well for us in the Sweet 16.

Sounds like a team who can compete with anyone. Curley was phenominal as a soph. Has he signed yet?

I have coached just not basketball. When the players dont respect the coach then it is time for change. At Pikeville in baseball we dont want district titles, we aspire to at a minimum win the region. One thing is for sure every player respects Lawson. I didnt call you out, I was just wondering why all the bashing. I never ever bashed JC last year or this year. I have the utmost respect for those kids. I have coached many of them in baseball and think they are fine young men. I just dont understand grown men bashing them. As far as Coach Trimble, I dont know him other than what I have seen of him on the court. Coaches as the main man are targets for criticism. It comes with the territory. When the Wildcats arent playing well Tubby takes the blunt of the criticism. I would hope whatever it is that inspires you will leave and you can get on with your life.

Why do you and King like to bash this years team. Remember these are kids we are talking about on here. Give the coach time to put his system into place. Why live in the past.

Western Athletic Supply is my favorite. I always compare to other companies. Most times they are the cheapest. Baseball Express has always been slow to deliver on the items I ordered.

Sour Grapes or what is your problem. I dont know who you are except you are always trying to dig at JC. Again I am not from Johnson County but your behavior is childish. Perry Central in case you hadnt noticed has a pretty nice record. JC will be their come tourney time. My Mother always said if you cant say anything positive dont say anything.

Yeah we are always right after the fact. I just think that why put a senior out their who is not gonna be that big of a difference between a soph. Just my thoughts.

Agreed I would love to see it, but it isnt gonna happen.
