  1. You are dead on, but it is also accurate to say that anyone who picks against Elliott County in any game (or says anything remotely negative about EC) is automatically pigeon-holed into an "EC hater" who is "biased against teams not from the metropolitan areas".
  2. :notworthy: :irked: TB&G has always got to go all high and mighty on us.
  3. True, but the original poster is assumedly asking about NKY (if a mod could change the title to 7th region)
  4. I'm actually going to consider coming to Sandy Hook provided I don't work Saturday. I've always wanted to say that I've been to Sandy Hook, KY.
  5. I was unhappy that I even bothered opening this thread, but now that I got this valuable information.....thanks papa!
  6. Because Scott County is public as well. People think that the private schools have a tremendous advantage because so many people love paying thousands of dollars a year for an education already paid for by their taxes
  7. CovCath! (we don't call them transfers, instead we call them converts )
  8. Good to hear the Colonels win. And Wellbrock had 19 rebounds? Amazing!
  9. Go Colonels! Have the students shown up for this game?
  10. To be fair, you've actually seen Elliott play.
  11. Slow it down. Wear Ballard down on defense. Be very, very patient for a good shot and don't try to outrun Ballard.
  12. I think it would be unwise for Elliot to try to outrun Ballard.
  13. Much, much kudos to EC for taking the opportunity to schedule some high-quality in-state opponents! Now the Lions will give us a chance to see what they are really made of!
  14. Holmes, big. I like Highlands (as a team, I mean ) but I have feeling Holmes is going to make a statement.
  15. Yeah, that's what I knew. I didn't know if their father and played at UC or not. I just know that he is huge.
  16. How long has the Guidugli-UC pipeline existed? I know the 3 brothers did, has anyone else?
  17. CCH kicked but in basketball in the late 1960's and early 1970's. They never got anywhere except for a state runner-up. It took ~20 years to get back to Rupp (1992) and 10+ more to make a mark down at state. CCH football won 6 state titles. But its more than the W's and L's- its the way things are treated at the school. As a former basketball player, I won't say that we were treated poorly, not one bit. But it is a football school.
  18. I don't buy that. I've always known CovCath to be a football school.
  19. Doesn't have the juice to pull it together and get the guy who a lot of us want? I'm no booster but to be honest this is high school football. We don't need a guy with extensive head coaching experience. We need a guy who understands CovCath and is committed to the school and players. That is what will turn it around.
  20. Rescheduled for Monday night (or possibly Saturday afternoon?). Someone else needs to verify because I heard both.
  21. 04/05 CovCath, and I was on the team that year. :irked: I just wish we had kept it closer because I had played 2 JV games that day and since we were getting beat by like 15 at the end they put me in and I felt like I could not walk.
  22. That was 2003-2004. And halfway through 04-05, but St. Henry got us on their home floor.
  23. Thanks for the info. So they've never beaten Coach L. Unfortunately, this is a year of many firsts for Coach L and the Colonels.
  24. Franklin is a legitimate team. Isn't Scott County technically the worst team they lost to?
  25. Agreed, but CovCath is fortunate to have one of the better coaches in the state walking around the hallways and now running the conditioning program.
