which = a loss for Holy Cross and the end of their season.

Shover and Coach L both said he (Shover) isn't in very good shape (basketball wise), but that he has around three weeks to get into shape for the Beechwood game. If Mitch can come back and play even half or three quarters of that game, look for CovCath to beat Beechwood. Shover is just too good not to be able to help the Colonels out big time....and on a netural floor this time, it sure can't hurt either.

Finally, congrats to Isler for making some clutch FT down the stretch.

That is a stunner, honestly I was expecting HC to pull this one of. With a win vs Beechwood in districts Cov Cath can sneak into the regions, obviously neither one of these teams wanted to play Holmes in first round, but either can beat Beechwood on a good night, both of them played them well in the first meeting.

Up until a few days ago, I had predicted ALL YEAR that HC would lose this game and end up with the 4 seed and took A LOT of criticism for it from the HC faithul. They just really don't have the offensive firepower to knock off Holmes, Beechwood, or Covcath.

 

As for the game, Congrats to the Colonels on the win. Glad to see Ives step up in a big way. On a side note though, Coach L can't feel good that his team blew such a big lead.

 

This sets up a Holmes/Holy Cross first round match up in districts with Beechwood taking on Covcath in the other game.
