HC's season doomed to end at their own place. Congrats to CovCath on a big win. Come to think of it, I guess all wins for CC this year have been big.

If I'm an HC fan, I wouldn't be too confident facing Holmes in the first round. I've predicted all year they'd end up with the 4 seed and ended up being right...I'll also predict in a rematch Holmes wins by 20.

HC let me down tonight, not by losing, but coming out soft. I didn't see any heart on the court other than Giwa. They desrve to play Holmes the way they are playing. I expected more guys. CCH... I do not like you.:lol: But you deserved to win well played.:thumb: Good to see Mitch in there also I hope he can stay around the rest of the season.:thumb:

Ugly ballgame. The shooting on both sides was nothing short of atrocious. Take out the shots made from the outside by Ives and Eastin and its a 10% shooting night from the perimeter. CCH may have to replace some backboards.

 

Ives played very well. He can get shots . Tonight he made shots. Lets give some credit to Isler as well. Tonight was a night where he should have gotten the ball more. I think CCH somehow got away from their early 2nd half gameplan which seemed to be to get it inside. HC is just to frail inside to battle with Ice and Wellbrock and Maile. Ice did a great job of getting his defender on his hip which allowed him to go up and score. I would have pounded it into him.

 

Also it was good to see that the game and the individual matchup wasn't "too big" for Maschinot. He was under control and certainly did not get handled by Giwa. Good to see.

 

Giwa is a decent jump shot away from being a college player. His ability to score around the rim is impressive. Unfortunately his shot from the outside really hasn't improved in the 4 years I've watched him. He has everything else you're looking for in a player.

 

Wellbrock needs to continue to stay aggressive offensively. He had two good moves early (one was a poor travel call IMO) and the other he simply missed a jump hook. Unfortunately, he then quit trying to score. Brother, use those shoulders and the athletic abilty and keep shooting.

Absolutely no reason why he should not be a dominant post player. However, I did think he definitely traveled.
