I like Joey Allen and Rob Broering. Rob is a great shooter. Hit the three at the buzzer tonight and at the end of the Holmes game.

I know he is a good all around player. IMO he should see more time.

Ives is the best player on the CCH team IMO..he is very underrated. Doesn't force shots, plays hard, and has a very high basketball I.Q.

It was the second best night of rebounding that I can remember since Votel did it against Boone County a couple of years ago....

If I'm an HC fan, I wouldn't be too confident facing Holmes in the first round. I've predicted all year they'd end up with the 4 seed and ended up being right...I'll also predict in a rematch Holmes wins by 20.

If HC doesn't try to hold the ball the entire game. It's not entirely out of the question. Sure the Bulldog's pressure will give them fits. Sure, the Bulldogs will win, but maybe not by as much as one might think. Do you remember 4 years ago in the Regional @ Holmes where HC played Dixie and held the ball the last 2 minutes of every quarter to eventually lose by a point in a low scoring affair??? They know they can't run with Holmes. Even a sorta slow game's not gonna get it. Their only hope in Haites is to play a dramatic stall ball game which they've shown in the past that they are not ashamed to do. As long as there's no shot clock in H.S. Basketball, it's totally legal and a perfectly viable game plan. As boring as it might be, I think it's the only plan that would come close to working for the Indians. Of course it won't, but if it's what they choose to do, look for the score to be a lot lower than one would expect with Holmes only winning by about 10. If HC chooses to try to make a normal game of it, then it's certain death and a major blowout. With it being do or die, I say they're gonna give it a whirl.

With Shover getting some minutes, I guess me questioning the other day whether he'd play or not and thinking that it would be a nice spark for the Colonels if he did wasn't too crazy of a question after all, huh??? :idunno: :eek:

Pretty bold statement considering HC couldn't even take care of a 6-15 Covcath team. (No disrespect meant toward the CCH faithful or their team.)

 

BTW...the last time Holmes played at Holy Cross they left with a 19 point W and led by as many as 25 points...:sssh:

Laugh all you want if they don't lose this one they will lose in the region. Don't be disappointed when your at state and see another team instead of the number on team in the state. i should add a four.
