NCC is ready to go on a nice run. Winning the football state championship has set them back a few weeks. I look for this game to be the beginning of a bunch of W's for the Breds. NCC 67 Newport 51

I heard this game was pretty tight throughout. Scott pulled away in the last 3 minutes actually getting up 10 or so. Sounds to me like Boone had a nice game plan and executed it pretty well. Nice win for Scott on the road. I wouldn't consider this a comeback. But it does sound like Scott needs to get ready to play from the start.

Tough one to call but I will go with Pendleton. They seem to have Brossarts number. PCHS 66 BBHS 61

:cry: Isn't it funny how its always someone elses fault when NCC loses. 99% of the time its the refs. NCC was just as physical as Scott. I hear Scott also had 2 players hurt and hospitalized. Why cant you people ever give the other team credit for not giving up and playing hard till the end? Coach Carr and the Eagles deserve credit, not a bashing for playing hard. If the game was too physical then it sounds like your team needs to get tougher. I guess its the refs fault as well that they kept shooting 3 pointers and not pounding the ball to the big man.

Howard had 17 and 11. Another double double. The kid really works hard.

Not even close. Scotts players are continuing to learn a new system. When is the last time you saw a Scott team play defense like they do. They also play as hard as any team I've seen.

If they shot poorly and turned it over quite a bit then SG must have played pretty good defense. Congrats to Coach Tony and the Trains!

Should be a good game. NewCath is getting football out of their system. I say Scott wins a close one 61-57.

I have only seen them play once. They impressed me against Dixie. I have heard they play extremely hard for 32 minutes. Obviously, they put on a good showing in Frankfort. I am surprised they beat Frankfort that bad in the finals of their tournament. Glad to hear they are doing so well.

Are they starting to play some defense? Only giving up 59 points to Jeffersontown and then 41 and 48. Did they play good defense or was Whitefield and Mayfield not very good?

I would agree with that. I would say Mason, Pendleton, Clark, Bourbon, Brossart and Campbell are ahead of them right now. It's still early though.

I don't know if I would consider them contenders just yet. They are making big strides though. Jeffersontown is a top 10 team in the state. Looking at their scores they are obviously very good. I have seen them play a couple times this year. They play extremely hard.

Great job by the Eagles. I hear they lead by 5 at the half. Sounds like a great game. Did Jeffersontown win the tournament? How did Scott finish?

Everytime I have seen Scott play the last two years they have played their hearts out and left everything on the floor for Coach Carr. He will have them pumped up for this game and there is no doubt they will play as hard as they can. Depth may be a problem against Jeffersontown as well as having 3 games in 3 days. They will need big time production and good minutes from their bench. Good Luck Eagles!
