Jeffersontown 59 Scott 54

Featured Replies

I have no details on the game, but I think the margin, on the road, bodes will for the Eagles. I thought J'Town may win a bit more convincingly.

Scott played their hearts out. They came out like gang busters and lead by 5 at the half. Jeffersontown took the lead in the third quarter, but they couldn't pull away from Scott. The Eagles had an excellent chance to win with 3 minutes left in the game and down by 2, but they just ran out of gas. I am not a big believer in moral victories, but this shows exactly what the Eagles are capable of. They will be a tough team come district and regional time.

I will take nothing away from scott they played very smart and hard but Jtown just did not come to play. The coach took the starters out 3 minutes into the game and trailed 12-2 at the end of the first quarter. The starters did not return untill 3 minutes to go in the half. A much more spirited Jtown team came out of the locker room and the first 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter they played like they were capable of playing and took control of the game. This is not the same Jtown team that has been earnig the respect they have gotten all over the state as they just did not play well but to Scott High credit when Jtown made their run they took it and fought back hard and they deserve a lot of credit for the heart they showed and fighting tooth and nail against a very good team. They have earned my respect that is for sure. Good luck the rest of the tournament in your next two games and it is good to have you guys here this year!!

Wow! I expected the margin of victory to be much bigger. It seems that many (especially myself) have underestimated Scott this year, and it sounds like they gave all they had last night.

Scott is solid, they have some decent guards and a little bit of size.

Great job by the Eagles. I hear they lead by 5 at the half.

Sounds like a great game.

Did Jeffersontown win the tournament?

How did Scott finish?

Scott finished 2-1 and JTown won the tourney winning by over 25 in the final two games.

Scott looks to be a top contender it seems in the 10th.

I don't know if I would consider them contenders just yet. They are making big strides though. Jeffersontown is a top 10 team in the state. Looking at their scores they are obviously very good. I have seen them play a couple times this year. They play extremely hard.

So how doesnt that make them a contender. They have been close in every game except for Mason and the had 2 contrubitors inelgible and I'm more than sure J'Town would be the top team in the 10th if they were in that region. I'm not saying they are the top contender, but i would consider them top 5-7 in the region.

I would agree with that. I would say Mason, Pendleton, Clark, Bourbon, Brossart and Campbell are ahead of them right now. It's still early though.

I wouldnt put Campell, agree with everyone else though.

Very good showing by the Eagles. They will play in the Frankfort Tournament next week beginning on 12/28 against Woodford County.

Are they starting to play some defense?

Only giving up 59 points to Jeffersontown and then 41 and 48. Did they play good defense or was Whitefield and Mayfield not very good?
