  1. Raceland had 3 players hit over 400 last year. Tolliver,Darby, and Miller.
  2. At the end? What about the rest of the game? Rams were going inside a lot last night and could not get a call. Whereas it seemed every little touch brought a whistle against Raceland.
  3. Rams dropped third in a row. But all have been close. Hopefully Rams dont lose confidence in their abilities. They are palying some very good teams real close. Would like to see free throw difference tonight also. Lately the Rams can't get to the line. Raceland doesnt get to the bonus in either half tonight as like the fairview game. Why can't the Rams get any love from the officials? Home or away, it doesnt matter. The difference in total fouls is huge against the Rams. Tonight, Weddington was a man among boys. He is the driving force for Elliott. As he goes, so go the Lions. He does all the little things needed done for this team. He rebounds and scores, or dishes out to the great shooters spotting up. Sparks , for Raceland , also played great. He's starting to realize how to score more and not just shooting from the outside. Jacob will have a very good career in Raceland. Rams will try and regroup this week and maybe win some of these close ones. They need to rebuild their chemistry and regain back the confidence some have lost.
  4. Gators were too much. He gave up ( I think) 11 hits and 8 earned runs in 4 innings for the loss.
  5. Kinglion, don't rule out Rams so easily. they beat greenup twice last season and if not for poor coaching decision, (left starting pitcher in too long) would had beaten them in districts also. Rams can play with anybody in the region. :fight:
  6. Tough game by both teams. It was even closer than the final score. Eagles made their free throws at the end when the Rams were fouling. Fairview played great defense. They limited Rams to only 8 free throw attempts. :thumb: Fairview only commits ( I think) 10 total fouls for the game on their home floor. Only 4 the entire second half( and yes, Raceland was going inside with the ball too.).
  7. What a joke. We will probably sign him. He's what we get the last few years. An athelete with no outside shot.
  8. Greenup didnt press. They made Russell play half court and forced outside shots. Devils couldnt hit .
  9. Raceland will have some solid pitching. Phillips,Morris,Reynolds ,and Grizzle. They all throw pretty hard and have more than 1 pitch they can throw for strikes. Pretty good hitting team also.
  10. Raceland and Lawrence had a hard fought battle in Louisa. Game stayed closed the whole way.Hatfield led Rams with 17 followed by Osborn with 15. Lawrence hits a 3 pointer with 3 seconds left in regulation to send to OT. After trading scores, Lawrence drives the lenght of the court and puts in a shot at the buzzer to get the win. Dont' have Bulldogs stats but, #5 scored a lot and Thompson did well. Rest of Rams points are: Miller-10,Tolliver 7, Sparks 5,Boyles 3 , and Mullins 2.
  11. Everyone in this region knows how hard it is to get a win at Elliott.
  12. Rams pulled out a hard fought win. Raceland just wanted it more. I don't know what % they shot , but it was pretty good. Tolliver really nailed the free throws down the stretch when Greenup tried to keep Rams on the line. Sparks and Miller were hot in the first half, while Hatfield , Osborn, and Tolliver did in the second half. Raceland bench played great with Phillips getting some big boards and Mullins handling the ball against the press. Way to go Rams. :dancingpa
  13. The fouls were never 6-1 in Raceland's favor. Raceland had a starter on the bench in foul trouble 3 minutes into the game. Like I said, your radio announcer apologized IN ADVANCE for the refs. :walk:
  14. Rams win it on a last second put back by Hatfield. Raceland turned the defense up in the 4th quarter. They entered the 4th trailing by 10. Rams get solid game from Osborn with 14(mostly 4th quarter) and Tolliver 11. Also Hatfield 9 and Sparks 8. Unbelievable win considering the officials. They were the worst I've seen. The Pikeville radio guy actually apologized to some of us Raceland fans.
  15. I had no doubts that ashland would draw Rose Hill. I hope the young Royals take it to them.
  16. If it's Owens, thats just what UK needs. Another player that can't shoot from the outside. :irked:
  17. Good luck against Rowan. We go to Pikeville friday nite.
  18. We would of had as good a chance as Russell would of had to win 1A.
  19. We may not have the state titles you have, but we do ok for a small school. Everyone knows the 2A division in football is the weakest in the state. :thumb: The Rams got a win they should had gotten against a weaker opponent. Maybe the younger players getting to play so much in this game was because of who the opponent was. Coach knew he could tinker a little in this game.
  20. Sparks was dominant in this game. Bath had no size and the Rams used their big guy the way they were suppose to. The player you are referring to does get frustrated, but has stuck it out for 4 years. AS good as the Dodd squad is SUPPOSE to be, he's happy where he is, as a Ram. :ylsuper:
  21. Ugly game. Only 14-14 at half. Rams poured it on in the 4th quarter to secure win. Raceland committed way too many turnovers.
  22. 5...henry clay 3...ashland 3...lexington catholic 1...estill 1...simon kenton 1...owensborough catholic 1...beechwood 1...bell county 1...st.x 1...madison southern 147
  23. 5----pulaski county 3----lincoln 3----danville 1----university heights 1----barbouville 1----calloway county 1----bryan station 1----wayne county 1----paducah tilghman 1----russellville tie- breaker........127
  24. Rams played a little sluggish but get the win. The Sparks kid from Lewis can shoot. I'd say Tolliver lead Raceland in scoring . Congrats to Rams.
  25. Nope, Kouns was sleeping at raceland tonight.
