Tiny
Ok. Who Is Going To Have The Best Team To Win Next Season
Statmaster
Boyd probably, but the region should be competitive this season. Ashland can beat anyone with Williams on the mound,Russell will be good if Potter heals,Greenup should be good as they only lost 2 players. East is always hard to beat.Fairview has strong hitting and good pitching with Clark, Raceland lost nobody from a team that played everyone tough. These teams should all be in it. Play 2 Win
I agree Boyd should be the team to beat, but I do think the gap is narrowing in this region.
Play 2 Win
I believe this region continues to get closer and closer in parity. At least much closer than a couple years ago when Boyd, Lawrence and Ashland were what appeared heads above the rest of the region. That being said, here's mine.... Boyd County East Carter Greenup County Ashland Raceland
kinglion
Top 4 look right on to me, but 5th could also include Rowan or Fairview. But region title should be between the top 4 listed with Boyd being the favorite in preseason.
Statmaster
Kinglion, don't rule out Rams so easily. they beat greenup twice last season and if not for poor coaching decision, (left starting pitcher in too long) would had beaten them in districts also. Rams can play with anybody in the region. :fight:
kinglion
I'm not ruling anybody out at this point, esp the way all sports have been in this area of late.

Boyd County East Carter Greenup County Ashland Raceland I agree with the top 3, I believe Ashland is only a top 4 team with Williams on the hill. I believe Raceland may be better day in and day out than Ashland. I agree that Fairview will be competetive, I believe Rowan will be down a bit. They had 10 seniors last season. That is the big difference between baseball and any other sport. It really does matter who is on the mound that day. Unfortunately for Ashland, Williams can only pitch so many games. UKCATSFAN
What are some of the top teams in the 16th? What does your team have? Who are some of the key players on your team?
kinglion
Boyd would have to be considered the top team in the 16th. They are very deep at pitcher with Justin Moore, Tyler Gatrell, Greg Bowling, and Tyler Perkins. They have an all Sr. outfield and return the left side of their defense. The biggest key for Boyd will be at the catcher position. Brad Blanton has to stay healthy because he is all they have at that position. If he gets hurt, BC is really hurting since they have no quality backups.
