  1. The Kittens can sure make you pay at the free throw line. Free throw shooting was the difference.
  2. Raceland 40 - Greenup 32
  3. Not money. They charge $9 to get in. :irked:
  4. Isn't Mills related to the AD at Greenup?
  5. They lost their top three hitters (Tolliver-SS,Miller-CF,and Darby-C). Also lost a very under rated pitcher in Reynolds.
  6. I wish the lady Rams had used a box and chase on number 12. Deny her the ball and I think Raceland wins.
  7. Elliott is a 16th region team. Wouldnt that make it 7?
  8. Rams improve to 10-11 with the win. Sparks and Boyles led the way. Every time Lawrence got close Tyler would get loose and give the Rams some breating room. Way to go Rams. Get it going before districts.
  9. I think if Raceland played the same zone as they did against Rose Hill , they could beat Russell.
  10. Russell kept pounding the ball inside. Okoro should pay rent. She camps in the lane and the refs never call 3 seconds.
  11. Lady Rams started hot. Russell scored easy baskets against Raceland's press. Lady Rams seemed to pass the ball around too much. Too many turnovers.
  12. If Elliott is hitting from the outside , they are very tough. Raceland, IMO, should had concentrated on getting the ball inside more. Elliott had no one to stop Sparks. Ferguson was on fire tonight. He hit many tough shots with defense all over him. I think he is the best player in the region. Elliott's fans were upset with the no call. Feeling Ferguson was slammed. He wasnt. Looked like he was tangled with his team mate. I think the refs let too much go on. But Elliott wasnt to be denied with that shooting.
  13. Paige also hit a couple of big 3's when lady Rams needed them. Wow, she can shoot. :dancingpa
  14. Lady Rams come away with a great TEAM win. Vanderhoof was on FIRE. :fire: , I dont know how many she had, but it was a lot. She did get hurt with about 4 minutes to go and didnt return, but the Lady Rams hold on for the win. The Porter sisters really took care of the ball, and Seals ( although in foul trouble the whole night) was great. Rams got a nice boost of the bench from Keeton also.
  15. Rams played probably their best game of the season. Complete team play. The coaches had a great game plan and the boys executed to perfection. Raceland played a smothering zone defense and forced the Royals to the outside where they shot the ball poorly.
  16. Raceland can win if they protect the ball. Sparks will also have to stay out of foul trouble. Rams need his rebounding to try and offset Rose Hills height.
  17. Greenup wouldnt even play Raceland this year.
  18. This game will feature the top 2 A schools (in this region) . It's a shame they wouldnt meet until the championship game. Lady Rams will win IF, Lady Royals get into any kind of foul trouble.
  19. Rams played a great team game tonight. Nichols and Martin off the bench were lighting it up. The losing streak ends. Whew........
  20. !7-1 against JV teams. A little different against varsity. Johnson is a good X and O coach. He just needs to let the boys play without worrying about being pulled.
  21. Unbelievable. The Rams just played Russell tough and then lose this one. :madman: Rams need to get it together.
  22. Frazier was huge tonight also. He hit those 3's when Russell needed them. Ref's were happy with the whistle. But both ways. Raceland had 3 players foul out i think, while Russell only had 1. Van Hoose played with 4 a long time. there where a couple of times when a 5th could had been called. But the outcome was a result of the Devil press, not officials.
  23. The press killed Raceland. When they could inbounds the ball, they would then play too conservative. If you keep passing against that kind of pressure, instead of taking available shots, you will eventually turn it over. Van Hoose put the Devils on his back in the 4th quarter and carried them to the win. Looks like Raceland is improving, even if they did end up with the loss.
