I didn't say they would get past them, but they got the best possible scenario. A lot of people didn't think they would get past them last year either.

Congrats to the Wildcats. They are having a nice season. I will say that I am a little surprised to see Eminence in the finals, though. Is the GC v WV still on for Tuesday?

I have noticed this myself. I think it coems down to them not being accustomed to having three officials on the floor. They are out of position a lot of times, and are not sure whose call it is.

CC won by either 9 or 11. I have some thought on it, but haven't had the time to put them all together yet. You didn't miss much.

SK should/will handle the 32nd pretty handily. With that said, I am interested to see how they will match up with the rest of the region. I think they have a very solid team, but, traditionally, these teams play a pretty physical style of ball. I think SK's guard will hold their own, but I am curious how Hurd will handle himself in the paint.

I missed the first meeting, but it sounded like a game WV should have won. I really feel they have been playing better lately. With this game on a neutral site, I will give WV the edge. Once again, this game will depend on how well their guards play. They are solid in the paint, but you have to have someone to get the ball to you. I have been saying all along that this tournament IS Walton's season. It's now or never guys. I would really like to see Walton put someone away when they get a lead. The few times that they have built a sizeable lead, they just let the other team hang around and make a game of it in the end. FINISH THE JOB!!!!! I'll say WV 63 CC 52.

IMO, the guard play has shown some improvement. To me, however, the biggest improvement is their new defensive schemes. I was speaking with a rival coach last night, he was surprised and impressed with what he was seeing on the defensive end. So, to answer your question, yes. They are playing better, both defensively and are playing with a more balanced offense. They have a tough draw this week, but if they can pull together, I think they can pull it off. There you go. My prediction. WV wins the 8th All A regional. You heard it here first folks....

They are fairly tall. If I remember correctly 2 players 6'3" and one 6'4". Also they were physical. Really only two shooter to watch, #11 and #33, other than them, it's all inside. Gallatin was there to scout last night, so I'm sure they will be prepared. We hope to meet up with you guys on Friday night.

There are certain schools where it is a huge advantage. When I talk about homecourt advantage, I think of overall atmosphere, bands, gym size and layout.

While I realize this is not a monumental win, its is nice to see the Bearctas head into the All A with a mini winning streak. Good har fought physical game by the bearcats. With the way this season has gone, any win is a good win, especially on the road. Now on to the rematch with Carrroll County on Wednesday. :thumb:

I am not complaing at all. I think he should get more looks over the course of the game, but he tends to fire them up at the wrong times. He, IMO, should be getting more minutes. He makes the best of the time he gets, though.
