Final

The Wildcats magical season continues with a victory in the 8th final at Williamstown. Gallatin trailed only once (9-8), but never gained a double digit advantage the whole game. In fact the lead was 3 with just under a minute to play. Junior Cody Perkins scored 23 points and was named to the All Tournament Team along with sophomore David Henson and freshman Trent Maddox. Senior Justin Davis was named MVP.

Gallatin will take a 13-5 record into next week's All 'A' Classic at EKU. They will play Bardstown at 6:30 on Thursday evening.

Bardstown will be a tough opponent for these guys.

That's the report I get, too.

either way we're Richmond bound

Congratulations to the Wildcats! Looks like I'll be up in Richmond on Thursday to see what the hoopla is all about. Perhaps some of the other Gallatin Co.-types might be available for a post-game beer?

Congrats to the Wildcats. They are having a nice season. I will say that I am a little surprised to see Eminence in the finals, though. Is the GC v WV still on for Tuesday?

no it has been postponed till later

Jim, will you also be there on Wednesday?

Is the Carlton kid the son of Tony Carlton? guy who played at GC in the late 80's. He was tough....scored a ton of points.

It is his nephew. His father Rod also was a prolific scorer, graduated in 81. You are thinking of Tony who is now an assistant for the Wildcats. He averaged about 31 ppg in 1987.

Maybe Wednesday night. Hard to say. Why, is there something I would be missing if I didn't show that day?

Nah. I'm coming down on Wednesday evening to watch Trimble's girls at 9:30.

Thought maybe you were suggesting a trip downtown for old time's sake.
