  1. Just a little more bad publicity, that's about it.
  2. All this poor coaching costs us the game. I watched and saw Cobb drop a TD pass, Drake drop a TD pass and the ref's blow two calls at a crucial point in the game, but for everyone of you hall of fame coaches out there it had to be poor coaching.
  3. I think a lot more was expected from Boyd, so the dissapointment in both their games is probably pretty equal, at least in my mind.
  4. ^We were loaded. After the season several of the players said it was more of a relief to win it all than fun, since such high expectations had been put upon them.
  5. Just go to the grocery pick out a nice roast and have them grind into burger for you. I do this pretty often, hard to beat fresh off the grill.
  6. The one in the stroller is too cute.
  7. You may be to young, but the 78 UK team was pretty much expected from the opening tip to win it all.
  8. Last year BCG found a loophole,so we went a week earlier than most teams.
  9. Just remember you're dealing with 14 to 18 year old kids. You can preach till the cows come home and still it sometimes falls on deaf ears.
  10. Great article on Spurrier in the Courier Journal today that addresses this issue. Did SPurrier make Florida or did Florida make Spurrier. Bozik seams to think Florida made Spurrier. People on here don't think Joker is the answer, well Spurrier when he went to the Redskins was considered one of the best in college football. He already had connections in Florida and he's sure not burning up the recruiting scene. UK is the northern most school in the SEC that also has an impact on recruiting. UK's brought in big names before and they faired much worse than Brooks.
  11. We played flat in more games we were supposed to win than in games that were thought to be tough ones. I agree it's an overused excuse, but I don't think when teams are evenly matched either should come out flat, although I have seen it happen.
  12. I agree with a lot that you're saying. We all thought the issue at QB had been answered with two 4 star recruits coming in, but obviously not. I don't know if when Brooks hangs it up Joker looks for a big time recruiter or what. Some fresh blood in the coaching ranks with some different connections is probably a must. I remember Guy Morris saying several times his 22 were as good as most peoples, not that ours are at this point, but depth is essential in the SEC, so great evaluation of the kids we are in on needs to continue. Other than that I have no answer.
  13. Probably not, but having to play teams from east of the Mississippi before the finals may have.
  14. Not comparing Hartline to Bradford at all. Comparing SEC defenses to big 12 defenses, pay attention:lol:. No offense taken wireman, all I was trying to say is he must be the best we have at this time, or two good coaches would be playing someone else. Didn't our QB coach also coach Peyton Manning, seems he may know a little more than me.
  15. How many people on this board go to practice everyday? While I'm not happy with Hartline again I go to the fact that Joker and Rich see them everyday. I guess I'll just have to trust their judgement over people that never see practice. The SEC does have something to do with QB's having a difficult time, while it's not all on the defenses being that good it does have some bearing. I know Florida is a notch above everyone, but look at what they did to Bradford last year after the record setting year he had against big 12 defenses.
  16. Fulton County and Fulton City being so bad really hurts Mayfields schedule strength. I've done this team beat that team and so on and so forth and it really means nothing.
  17. I agree with you on the timeline Ace, but the one thing I do see is that Hartline is no where near as talented as Woodson.
  18. Notre Dame was given the game on the two point conversion that tied the game. First the runner was down and second #59 or 57 drug him into the endzone which is a penalty. Clausen for Heisman give me a break, exactly who have they beaten?
  19. Thanks, It just makes me feel better when they actually spot the ball where the runner went down instead of picking the ball up tossing it, respotting, and then measuring. Less room for error I guess.
  20. Just a question as I've seen this happen more and more lately. A team goes for it on 3rd and short or 4th and short and a measurement is called for. Instead of running in and spotting the ball where it is they pick the ball up toss to the officail respot and then measure. Until recently I had never seen this done is this something being taught?
  21. That's wrastlin as my high school wrestling coach used to say.
  22. Not sure that's a rule on the high school level.
