Ky I really don't think you want to talk about last year. If Frankfort beat you 56-14 what would've Danville have done to Paris?

Let's say you can pick one game off your teams schedule to win,who would it be and why?

You start talking Alabama high school football you're talking about a horse of a different color. My son lives there and his old school is a 5A contender each year. I know they burn the bermuda off the game field every year and redo. He's told me what the coach makes but I can't remember. It's reasonable to say quite a bit more than the best paid coaches in Ky. He's told me some pretty wild recruiting stories too.:sssh:

An inch and 15 pounds on a running back is a little more than semantics. I know last year Paris seem to have the athletes to be better than what they were. Sure were and probably are an impressive group to look at. Sounds like they've put in alot of hard work over the offseason just hope our Panthers can compete after reading all these Paris posters.:confused:

Second year of old rivalry renewed. FHS got the better of it last year,but Paris seems to be much improved.Still have to go with the Panthers in a hard fought 35-21 victory.:thumb:

Maybe more schools will offer football. You just never know. I can see it from both sides, it really doesn't bother me.

Frankfort actually has two kinds of bermuda,one in the middle from hash to hash I can't remember what type,but it sure is pretty when it's taken care of. It's a finer blade than most bermudas we got it from a sod farm south of Bowling Green,the other came from Illinois. Frankforts field still is bermuda it just hasn't been taken very good care of since I left.

I will start by saying I am not a Lex Cath fan,but Micah Johnson must be one heckuva football player to have gotten Mr. Football over Justin. I saw him play in the state finals and I hadn't seen a better football player all year. He is a football player who plays Q.B.. UK and UofL missed out on a gem. I have no doubt he will be a great college player and wish him the best of luck.:ylsuper:

Bermuda is the best,but you're right for it look good it takes alot of work. You have to fertilize,and spray and mow it at least 3 times a week. If you're willing to do all that they sure look good.:

County lost a slew of good recievers,so it will be interesting to see how the young guys step up.Ammons is as big a threat running as passing,and if Somersets pass defense is suspect then it could be a long night for them.

I wasn't sold on the speed thing either,but after having watched Bardstown for three games I can say it makes a tremendous difference.I too thought they were soft not any longer.They handled us, Frankfort 42-13 ,and we were pretty good.I still had some doubt as to how tough they were until they put it on Danville 21-0.Should be a heck of a game wish it weren't so far away I pick Bardstown 17-10.

Great game on Bardstown part,forced a bunch of turnovers 6 I think.Scored off almost everyone. Good first quarter 7-7, all Tigers after that.Should be a dandy against Danville.I predicted an upset in this one,I WAS WRONG.

I don't understand the accountability comment myself isn't this the first time in forever Franklin County has made it past the first round? Anyway thought this post was about Bardstown and Frankfort. Someone in an earlier post commented B-town is a track team in football uniforms I agree,that's why I'm sticking with this being the upset special of the week. I will agree with purplefrenzy in Tillman and Robinson do have a good supporting cast that's why it's called a team.For Frankfort to win all 11 must play well and the line must block much better than they did at Danville.I believe they will, Panthers win.

The advantage is in title 9. All boys schools don't have to abide by this. Budgets when title 9 are involved become much tighter, and we all know you must have quality players. High quality facilities sure contribute to turning out high quality athletes.
