I didn't say anything about being 4-6, but as someone pointed out if you're playing teams above your classification then it's a different story. If you think 4-6 is the same for everyone then I don't know what to tell you.

How does the district not matter? I would much rather play at home than on the road.

Again Somerset went to the semi's as a four seed. It doesn't happen very often. Just look at our game many people are picking Dayton to upset us. I won't disagree with you on the 0-10 teams though. They should have to at least won one district game to get in. Heck when I played only the district champ went, which left us at 9-1 sitting at home with our only loss to the undeafeted state champs.

Didn't they add wild card teams several years ago to give more teams a chance?

^ They're not meaningless if you lose. You go home. There's no such thing as a meaningless playoff game. Maybe overmatched, but not meaningless.

It's fine the way it is. The only thing I would do is try to make each didtrict have at least 5 teams if at all possible. That way you must win one district game to get in.

That's what happens when you get a few trash talkers going back and forth.

NCC has two titles in A. Danville was in our district when they won the title in 03. We being Frankfort are in our third different district in 8 years.

Since 1977 Beechwood is the only team in the district to win a state championship. Although that is impresive Belleview with 2, Lloyd and Dayton with 1 a piece.

Take away Beechwood and how many does your district have?

I don't have a dog in this fight, but you can get in trouble comparing scores. Teams may not get up as they should for certain teams, or just have an off night.

You might want to go back and reread lasts years posts about the Frankfort Beechwood game anyone that really knows football made no statements about their being so good just because they're from NKy. We have alot of respect for Beechwood and know it's a different breed of ball there, but it seems to me you're elevating Dayton to Beechwoods status because they're from Nky. Didn't you all beat them 51-0? I know it's the playoffs and anything can happen. We learned that lesson several years ago when CAL upset us in the first round. You're correct I do believe Franklin County played three of their cheerleaders against us. I guess the hype train will stop Friday night.

I need to make sure I understand this. Dayton is 2-8 and the two teams they beat are 5-15 combined having been outscored 735-284. Frankfort is 9-1 with wins over #8 in AA and #7 in A with their only loss coming to cross town rival AAAA Franklin County who is #17 in their class, but Dayton is going to win because they play in NKy.

Watching UK play this year they always mention Randall Cobb being the AA Mr. Football in Tenn. I know six classes waters it down somewhat, but should Ky go to a Mr. Football for each class and an overall Mr. Football for the best player in the state?

I stand by my statement. With the six class system there is no reason to play 8 man football. I love how we won the 8 man state championship with a grand total of 4 teams playing. Now if they want to start a seperate classification with 16 to 24 teams playing it may actually be an accomplishment.

This is basically sisters of the weak playing sisters of the poor so they can say they won something.

Nice post LN. The bolded is about the only thing I disagree with. Some want others to think they know more than the coach, or are upset because they think you're not using their kid properly. We had a parent who thought he should've been on the staff and would make statements the staff didn't have a clue. We allowed him to come and and draw up a play. He drew up a spread formation and asked how are you going to cover that? Well it would be a little difficult because you have 13 players on the field. Just a little bit of what some coaches put up with.

Some adminstrative support to run of the bad mouthers would be a tremendous help. Administration is either for you or against you they need to step up. It took one of our parents throwing the team water cooler into the road after a game to finally have the adminstration step up and handle it. Good luck.

Ugly game. 7-0 At half. Eminence had 5 turnovers FHS two. Frankfrot defense held Eminence to 100 yards total for the game. Quan Weaver scored on a 31 yard run,Dwight Tillman caught 2 TD passes and Aaron Hall one. Grider hit a 25 yard field goal. Frankfort wraps up another didstrict title and home field in playoffs.
