Last year Florida won it and they have at least 5 NBA players. The year before it was UNC with more than 5 NBA players. UConn had 2 lottery picks the year before and 3 teammates are in the league now. The year before was Cuse with Melo who was SENSATIONAL and was a top 3 pick. Maryland had at least 3 (I believe). Duke year before that had about 5 pros and MSU the year before at least 2 (3 I think). It's not an "all the time" thing, but it's pretty common to have NBA talent on NC teams.

He can compete for it every year. I understand not winning it, I don't understand not competing for it.

AT UNC that isn't true at all. They might have 5 NBA starters on their team right now. Marquette??????????????????????? In the same breath as KY about recruiting................. How did UNC solve their problems??????? They didn't hire a new coach did they?:sssh:

Typically NC teams have more than one starter in the NBA. There are exceptions, but Horford will eventually start in the NBA, Noah will, Green and Brewer will probably get some starts too. The 96, 97, and 98 teams had lots of NBA starters. Mercer, Pope, Anderson, Walker and lots of others who played in the NBA.

That's not very many in a 10 year tenure......... AA every year is what I want, and what most TBers want. Those players are good, but NC's come when 5 or 6 players on your team end up being NBA starters.

I feel your pain. The worst mistake I ever made was listening to KY when they fell behind 31 and turning it off. I was supposed to be asleep, but of course KY was playing so I had the radio to my ear. I've missed games this year and not even cared. I've still watched the majority of games and I still love KY, but watching them lose and play with limited/no emotion makes me sick.

Baseball in the heat, unless you're a pitcher isn't as grueling as walking up and down hills in hot weather. I've done both and it doesn't compare. I've practiced football in pads in 90+ degree weather and that was harder, but arena league is in AC. I can play 7 games of softball in the middle of winner, but walking 18 anywhere kills me in that kind of heat.

Walk Devou or Highland CC and tell me it's not exhausting. Walking in 90 degree temperatures for 5+ hours in the hot sun wears anyone out. Add hills.

I used to go there a few times a week. We'd go to BW3's, Applebee's, and Barleycorn's all the time. I don't go out as much anymore, but Applebee's is real close and has a great happy hour. However, Friday's is right next door, has a great HH and I can smoke.

I would say I went more and I probably spent more money. I would go there probably once a week (or every other week) if you could smoke. I don't really miss the place that much. I did enjoy half price chicken wings though.

How many how many how many........... How many coaches actually foul with less than 5 seconds on the clock up 3? It's not that common which is why you see way more 3's to tie it. UK was also out of timeouts at that point so it wasn't like Tubby could call them over and explain to foul, but not intentional, and what if they had tried to foul and he had made that 3? Foul shot to win it.

Clearly the idiot ref shouldn't give it to the shooter until everyone is set, but he didn't. He also asked for the ball back and that answer he gave as to why was a cop out bad.

That's terrible officiating and hats off to Tubby for not blaming officials and players.

You can't lose on a 3, and I wouldn't want to stop the clock and let them score. A make and a put back is just like a 3, Also, 2 makes and a steal/5 second call/turnover/offensive foul is the opportunity to lose.
