How many could shoot as 19 year old freshman? How many were as good as Oden at this point?

Why does Oden have to shoot jumpers? Why can't he delevop a decent one? He's young and has very good touch.

6 were Jordan and Pippen and 3 of the years they had 3 seven footers who split time and put up pretty good combined numbers. Who else? Detroit three times. Right? Detroit had Lambeer and Rodman down low and the Wallace brothers the other times. Still though the big man has over 50 percent of the wins.....

He's a better free throw shotter left handed so in five years after Morris is selling hotdogs in Lexington I think he'll be able to knock them down over and over again.

Really what could he have done on all those missed shots. He was the only one on the glass, on the floor, and the only offensive option. How many would Ewing have won if Jordan hadn't been around? Or the 5 great centers who won it during his career (Jabbar, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, Robinson) hadn't been around?

Great centers are, always have been, and always will be the hardest thing to find. The top of the game last year was Shaq..... before that Duncan.... The Pistons snuck one in without a great dominate center, but their center was the only one in the league who could guard Shaq man to man. Want me to go back farther? Like back to the 50's..... Who can post up Oden? Horford sure couldn't. Couldn't come close. Noah couldn't. Again not close. Oden kept them in the game against 2 lottery picks, a 275 pound hatchet senior, and a supporting cast WAY better. If the game had been 10 minutes longer he would have fouled them all out because they couldn't stop him. Oden is 19 and isnt' going to get anything but better.

Are you really judging a 19 year old who played hurt in the State Finals played hurt for 2 months this year and just layed it all on the line against the best big men in college basketball? I bet those left handed free throws (16 in a row) had nothing to do with working hard. Oden has been a team player all year. Tonight he couldn't rely on his teammates and did everything he could do to win.

I disagree 100% but in the NBA touch fouls are rarely called and you get 6 of them. Plus the more he plays against big centers the better he'll get defensively. Paychecks motivate.

Who?????? Seriously????? Garnett? Who else? Amare???? He's 100% athlete, that has a decent shot. I'll take a hook and various spin moves over that. Brad Miller? Too slow not athletic enough? Yao, too slow and not even close in speed and agility. Speed? Strength? Upside? Size? Agility? Where's the downside here?
