Because????????? If his greatness depends on size, hands, agiligy, awareness, touch, SIZE, or aggressiveness...... What don't you like? 2 lottery picks just looked bad.....VERY BAD. Florida either fouled him or he scored. He dominated the lane altering shots and bolcking shots. Why can't Oden not be GREAT? He he gets the ball he makes a move. If the move fails, he is athletic enough to still score. Did you see the block/goaltend that was above the square? Not at the top, but several inches above the square.

It doesn't matter he pushed the Gators around inside and that hasn't happened to them in 2 years. Plus he's 18 years old and still getting better. Plus he's a good free throw shooter. None of those guys have rings because Shaq is a dominant center who can't shoot unless he's 2 feet away. This year one of them might get one because Shaq has no supporting cast (Penny, Kobe, Wade). Other than Jordan when has a swing man ever been the difference? Argueably last year, but Wade wasn't the best 2 in the league, but Miami had the best center (Mourning/Shaq) combined.

1 great center without a ring...... Oden WILL BE GREAT!!!!

Both are locks to have good careers IMO, but Durrant will sell jersey's and Oden will win championships.

I'm not saying anything bad about Durrant, but swing men are a lot easier to come by than true centers that have the ability to dominate. How many GREAT swingmen are there. Imagine being Boston with the number 1 pick. Draft Paul Pierce Jr. or Greg Oden?

Why not??????????????? He's extremely athletic, HUGE, fast, great hands, good shot blocker, a NASTY developing hook. Richard was in there because he's a hatchet man and that's as hard to deal with as anything. This isn't based on one game, it's based on talent, potential, and the record of the big man in the NBA. Oden has very good footwork and very good body control for an 18 year old. I know both will be solid, but IMO Oden will have more W's in the NBA.

Oden had a broken wrist half the year.

Why???????? He played the majority of the year hurt and played with his opposite hand. He's gotton 100% better this year and when he's completley fine tuned.....wow. Tonight's performance against the best big men in college has me convinced.

Really???? Give me 1 quality win this season..... There were problems the entire 10 years. Saul Smith shouldn't have started, big recruits didn't pan out or left (several). The style was always boring and slow. OTS wasn't terrible and had several VERY GOOD years, but acting like there were no problems is absurd.

Doellman, Brock, Pelle, REINHART, Miller, Knowles, Belcher, Belcher, Verax, Cooper, Miller, CHRIS LOFTON, the big kid at Belment with Belcher.... Yeah NKU(ew) could compete with that..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Derrick Smith was from Silver Grove as was Sigmon (who walked on at NKU and broke his ankle) and Pelle is better than both of them.......and it isn't really close!!

Ding, ding, ding..... There will be "fire Donovan threads," but Donovan won't do these things that were glaring failutures of one OTS. That's why it won't be widespread. About half of the 18% will bash him and be upset, and the other half will claim that some external factor kept them from winning. I also think UK under Donovan will put us in the same league as the "elites of college basketball" once again.
