I remember Alabama Larry posting about the care of his elderly mother a few years ago. I responded by saying Mother's are very special people and he said, yes they are! I know he is in heaven today. I hope and pray his wife and children will find comfort in knowing he was a very special person. I always enjoyed reading his posts about his family. He had such great passion, love and joy on many things in life.

TOG - Why do you care on the student section that you aren't even associated with? I can't figure this out. You also post on students attending football games for other schools.

Great for Holmes - my school ! - Still don't put everyone in one basket. Gas - ticket prices - It was hard for my spouse and I back in the day and tickets were $1.00! Imagine that. Ask to borrow Mom's car 2 and 3 times a week to travel all over NKY. It was good times!

And there are also people in Florence on hard times - I know a few. Please don't put everyone in the same basket on income or financial status.

I never remember my High School renting a school bus to take students to a basketball game - unless the team went to the Sweet 16-and then we had to pay our way for the bus ride. Maybe it was due to the weather on Friday; people attend church on Sunday morning. Everyone does not have access to BGP. We were eating breakfast yesterday in Florence and someone in my family asked when the games were being played this weekend. Knew the times had changed due to the weather on Friday but we had to google this.

Holy Cross - congrat's on your win for the State Title - You played your hearts out on the field today. Nice game to watch!

They are two very special men, and I know the boys looked up to them also. I still remember my son coming home talking about Coach Vaughn, and how he knew a coach in south Georgia in Lowndes County.

Good luck Coach Spritzky. You have done great things at Dixie, and we will never forget the season of 2004. Spend some well deserved time with your family.

There was a nice article in the Enquire paper this morning. It's great the team has invited the former teams for lunch. Coach Chevalier likes the number 7. We have a family member who attended a reunion at the school in 2007, and was very impressed with the school and coaches.
