Holmes improves to 21-0.

Been to several Ryle games and looks to me coach just gives up AGAIN. Pulls starters and game goes from competitive game to a blow out, feel for the kids.

Happy to hear Holmes is still undefeated.

What happened in the last quarter? Why did Ryle pull starters? Was it early or in the last 2 minutes? Looks like it was close until the 4th.

I think you may be right.

Holmes started to pull away, Chames got back to back dunks with around 4 mins left to put them up 13 and Mullins pulled the starters.

 

My future uncle in law is a Ryle parent and there are a lot of parents that want Mullins out. The gym was half full because people simply don't want to come out and cheer for a team that the coach doesn't believe in. Kids are too worried about making mistakes because Mullins doesn't let them play through them.

 

I heard Mullins had the following response today when asked if they had a chance to beat Holmes:

 

"Only way we have a chance at beating them is if they don't show up..."

 

I hate to be the one to post something like that, but I've coached before and you simply don't say something like that about your team, even if it is how you truly feel.

Forgot to mention that Hep Cronin (Mick's dad) was there to watch Bolden last night.

 

Mick's brother Dan told me that Hep really likes him a lot and the way he plays. Said he has been talking about him a lot.

If the Bulldogs run the table in the 9th Region and go to Rupp, it will be the first time this has happened since the 2004 Cov. Cath. team.

The great Holmes teams of Austin Hill, Arrez Henderson, Jamel, Ricardo, Jerimiah, Ricardo, Elijah, etc. were not able to accomplish this feat. (of course the current squad would be .500 if they played a schedule of eastern/central kentucky teams.) :ohbrother:
