Question for Dixie fans - is Dixie this good or are other teams down?

Boone didn't have answers for the Colonels passing game this evening or Drew Moores bootleg runs. The Colonels continue to gain momentum. Boone faithful will see success in a year or two per their insiders. The JV and freshmen will fill the funnel.

Combination of both.

 

The dual threat of Moore and power running of Capel/Washington makes Dixie extremely tough to game plan for as a defensive coach. And speaking of defense, Dixie absolutely brings it every week. Those boys are probably the hardest hitting team I've seen in person so far.

 

Boone had some momentum with their first drive, going down the field with a drive lasted almost the entire first quarter, then with 3 minutes left an INT that led to a Dixie td and 14-0 lead shifted any momentum that Boone had going for them.

 

Rebels are young and dealing with a lot of injuries right now. Give Coach Griffith some time and you will see good things from the Rebels. They are getting better each week.

I really like this Dixie squad. Unlike years past, they have a defense that swarms to the ball and hits extremely hard.

Hopefully this continues the second half of the season in the big district games.

One thing that jumps out at me watching that film is how Boone looks so much smaller/thinner than traditional Boone teams.
