Rowan is young with a first year staff I believe. Mills has done a fine job at KC and should pull off a first round win 38 to 12.

Campbellsville has some wonderful atheletes. McCubbins is a match up problem when used correctly. I'll take C'ville by 8.

Having seen Paris, they have some nice atheletes. #43 is a beast and 7 looks good as well. I think I would agree with others here, the Burg is a mature confident team and very disciplined. I'll take the Jackets and home field advantage 34 to 14.

In one of the longest running rivalries in Southeast Ky. The Jackets and the Moutain Lions go at it this Friday night at Findley Legion Stadium in the Burg. Although Pineville has struggled this year and the Jackets have been flying high, this is still a rivalry game. I know the coaches who have worn the orange still harbor deep seated feelings on this one. The Jackets have been a bit banged up and hopefully the bye week let them heal a bit. I look for them to build momentum for a playoff run and pick them 48 to 12.

My vote would be Jerry Herron at Williamsburg. One of the smallest football playing schools in the state, but he has them at 8-1, won his district, and in the playoffs. He does a whole lot with marginal talent.

In some respects you have to understand Corbins point of view when it comes to a Williamsburg or Lynn Camp. If they win they are supposed to, if they lose, as they did to the Burg a few years ago, its not a good loss. Dont get me wrong I would love to see Corbin and Williamsburg lock horns again, but don't see it any time soon.

I dont know if he won it or not but he has been huge for the Jackets this year and seems to be a fine young man. He's respectful and polite every time I'm around him.

Williamsburg 28 Lynn Camp 12 Nuff said, anything else is an excuse. I really dont see how Williamsburg ever wins without the aid of officials....geez every week opponents get on here and gripe about the officials and yes there were blown calls...Lynn camp got a favorable 5 yards on a punt spot on the running in to the kicker call (which should have been roughing) but so what. Lynn Camp had linemen downfield on the broken punt pass, plus got a very favorable spot for a first down on the play (it was right in front of me and he was close to a yard short on forward progress) but so what. Williamsburg beat the campers at their own game. They were more physical and used Ed Lawson as a battering ram and ran the ball down the Campers throat. It was a hard hitting, hard fought game. I wish the Campers luck in the playoffs, and wish the Jackets well. Maybe if the Jackets make a good playoff run Coach Herron and his staff and this team will get a bit of hard earned respect. Also Williamsburg is the "little" school in the tri county...smaller enrollment.

I get tired of Williamsburgs schedule getting trashed. Quality of wins? Last I looked Williamsburg has the advantage because of thier opponents overall wins.

This is really a sad commentary on the state of high school athletics. Unless there are extenuating circumstances outside the realm of football I have to question administration's stance on the termination of a fine person and coach. My exposure to Coach Wiseman has only been through the Campbellsville - Williamsburg series but I found him to be gracious in both victory and defeat. Our thoughts and prayers are with you coach.

This will be, as usual, a tough physical game. As posted earlier these schools just do not like each other, and from the posting going on it appears alot of the fans don't care for each other much. I think Williamsburg wins, but it won't be a blow out by any strerch of the imagination.

I hope you win at Norris, but not at the Burg...lol Good Luck and leave a few in the lake for the rest of us.:thumb:

I have watched this young man as he has played against Williamsburg in football and baseball. He is a wonderful talent. Often challenges enter our lives with seemingly no rhyme or reason. My thoughts and prayers are with this young man not only for healing but to find purpose in this injury.

I have always enjoyed the Harlan game and their fans. I have always found them to be a class act in every sport the Burg plays them in. I hated it when the districts changed, but am glad this rivalry, for now continues. How are the stripers biting on Norris right now?
