  1. I think that Mayfield will win by at least 3 TD's, but a poor performance will have me worried going into the third round of the playoffs, should we win. I look for this cards team to be focused and ready to play the type of football we are accustomed to seeing.
  2. I like what I have seen tonight, we could have used some better hands on some of the receptions. I have a couple of questions for you cards fans that may be closer to the players and coaches than I. What is the deal with McNutt? Is he having a problem kicking a cold ball or is something else up? And I am wondering about Andy Trevarthen, why he isn't getting the ball any more than he is. I am hoping that coach is just holding out some of these players so we don't show much to the other teams scouting us for the playoffs. I know that Adam is not getting his number called near as much as in games past. Anybody have any info for me?
  3. 6 years I believe. Gonna be hard to replace the guy, and really what coach would want to come into a program that is gonna have Ft. Campbell and O'Cath in their district and losing a bunch of seniors. Anybody heard of anything substantial as to who may replace this great guy?
  4. Yeah, Marshall heavily depended on Williams and it seems that the weather took out some of his ability to make the big plays.
  5. Yeah, I am thinking the KHSAA made this decision either right before the season or during it, not sure, they originally said that the decision to have your district opponents to play each other was to help travel expenses. So is this some kind of upset for Critt?
  6. Yeah, lets hope these kids have the turnover bug out of their system. I am amazed there weren't any turnovers on a night like this, the rain was going sideways!!
  7. I figured it would happen. I think it would be a bad move on their part to pursue it, since we are only talking about a couple of playoff games and a very unlikely win against Mayfield in the playoffs. Just not worth tainting your image for a win or two IMO.
  8. Just heard its official from some Fulton City folks on another forum, they are going to have to forfeit all their games. Mighty quick ruling from the KHSAA folks.
  9. How would it knock Fulton City completely out of the playoffs? Wouldn't Ballard and Fulton City be tied for 4th? Are you saying that Ballard would automatically get 4th cause they would have 2 more wins than Fulton City for the tiebreaker?
  10. Yeah, I agree, it will be sad for the other teammates that won the games legitimately. Apparently the kid wasn't one of the standout players so that makes it even a tougher pill to swallow. But if they have to give up their distict wins it would put Ballard at a 1 game win and that would put them tied with ballard and it is looking like if they win against Fulton county, they would tied with them as well, so a 3 way tie if they have to forfeit these games, very interesting.
  11. I have heard that a player that had been playing at Fulton City was called out and deemed ineligible by the KHSAA after their game against Murray a couple of Fridays ago. If this is true, and it has been said that the player did not get to play in the Mayfield-Fulton City game, will Fulton have to forfeit their entire season, including their district games? If so, assuming they win this Friday against Fulton County, that would put them in 4th place in the district. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?
  12. Seems like Graves County is using the Phildelphia Eagles logo
  13. Well, if they couldn't practice yesterday then they couldn't practice today either I guess. If they don't play tonight, they will have to play tomorrow cause I don't know when else you could re-schedule this game, Sunday? Mayfield doesn't have a Friday night off so this game will have to happen this weekend sometime.
  14. I was hearing on the radio on the way to work this morning that folks can return to their homes @ 8 AM this morning, you think the game is still cancelled?
  15. I don't know if Fulton City being ranked #10 and NCC not being ranked means that 1A is down all over the state, but it seems like that could very well be possible this year.
  16. Yeah, I was just questioning the rankings, that was all. This is a good thing for both Mayfield and Fulton City and all of the 1A west teams actually. But it has to be bringing some more cash and recognition into the program at Fulton City and that is a great thing for the school and its community.
  17. I read in the paper yesterday that Fulton City is now #10 in the AP polls. What is your take on this? I can think of several teams that would be more deserving to to be ranked ahead of em at this point. They have had a great season if you are going by wins, they are undefeated, yet their opponents record is 5-32.
  18. I think he coaches for Southern Illnois University, I am talking about the fighting Illini Illnois State. The coach there is Ron Zook I believe.
  19. I hope so, but if Mayfield can't hold on to the ball the score won't be as high as some would think, unless Fulton City's defense can hold Mayfields. You are right about Adam, he is supa fast. He is starting to get some recognition, I heard he went to talk to some folks up at Illnois State this weekend, .
  20. Wow, what can I say. I didn't expect this one from Metcalfe, I thought that Russellville had played the better season out of the two. Is Metcalfes' defense just that good? Can't believe that Russellville couldn't put any points on the board, this is a real shocker!!
  21. I remember when Mayfield played Jackson TN North I believe. The announcer was advertising snake-skin belts during timeouts and halftime I believe. I think he was even saying things right before our center would snap the ball, lol. He was pretty funny to listen to, I didn't really agree with it, but Mayfield was smoking em pretty much and I guess he had to make light of things somehow.
  22. I was actually impressed with what I saw of the return of Andy Trevarthen tonight, he looked extrememly fast to me. I know he hasn't played all season but he looked like he has been. I don't know what the deal is with Tyrese Murrell and holding on to the ball, the hits he was taking didn't appear to be the kind that knock the ball loose, maybe he just needs to gain some strength. He did redeem himself with two interceptions, he seems to have a knack for coming back with big defensive plays.
  23. Taylor is taller and seems to have more speed, but Williams seems to be able to make more cuts and has a better vision of field. At least from what I have seen both Marshall and Hopkinsville games against Mayfield.
  24. HUH? Have you not seen Alan Williams play? IMO, he runs the team.
