  1. I know Russellville would have proudly hung the banner of state champ if we had won it this year or last. I think it is sad the lengths that some will go to in order to get a rise out of someone who has had good luck. Congrats to the champs
  2. Anderson from Warren Central deserves to be in the conversation. 3 trips to Rupp, with a fourth likely although I hope I'm wrong about that.
  3. Warren Central is head and shouldars above every other team in the fourth. Greenwood and Allen County should challenge on paper, but having seen all three the gap is pretty large. Greenwoods guards can be shakey under pressure and AC tries to play like Warren Central, but just can't do it as well. The other challengers, Franklin Simpson, Bowling Green, Russellville, Clinton County can beat Greenwood or Allen or each other but none really are likely to challenge the dragons.... as much as I would like to see the streak end.
  4. I would expect Russellville or clinton to come out of the fourth
  5. Well Metcalfe put it on Russellville today. Russellville had opurtunities in the first quarter but didn't capitalize, and Metcalfe dominated the rest of the game. Congratulations on a good win to Metcalfe, and hopefully we will see you guys in the second round. But we will have to drastically improve our line play, and our play selection if want the result to be any different. Good luck the rest of the season.
  6. 1. Russellville 2. Metcalfe 3. Clinton County 4. Todd Central
  7. There are at least three games this weekend with playoff type feel. 1. Mayfield vs. Fulton City- Fulton City is 7-0 and find themselves facing the Class A powerhouse from the west. I'm taking Mayfield, they are a step above everyone else in the west. 2. Warren East vs. Franklin Simpson- East is having a great year and hope to beat the wildcats for the first time since 92. I am taking Franklin, Dalcourt is a special athlete and Franklin is moving in the right direction in the last few games. 3. Metcalfe County vs. Russellville in the Tobacco Bowl- The two contenders for the district face off saturday, likely to determine where the second round of the playoffs are held. I am taking Russellville because I am a notorious homer, and I think we have too much speed for everyone in the region except Mayfield.
  8. He is a heck of an athlete, being able to catch Sydnor from behind. The penalty that cost us the game was the one where we had 2nd and 1ft on you guys 5, score a TD but hold behind the play. That killed us, Dalcourt is a heck of a QB, he has a live arm and runs very well. I would bet that Franklin will end up in their normal spot come playoff time, the 2 seed behind BG.
  9. Macdon, your right penalties killed us tonight. However, don't let that take away from the great win Franklin had, it was a very hard fought game, I thought the field goal was good, he didn't miss it by much.
  10. Russellville is on the way back, Coach Myers will have the panthers back to the form of the late 80's early 90's. He is getting almost every athlete in the school back on the field
  11. I think westside is right about why Coach Todd chose not to play. I know this years team is excited to be coming to Richmond and hopefully we will have good luck. I think they did make it to the All A final four in the mid 90's with Bubba Wells and Otis Key, I was in the military then so not sure of what year.
  12. Justin played well, he was injured for several games. Cage did well, should keep improving next year along with Mayo, and Hinton at QB, all three of those guys didn't play since the 8th grade. Syndor was awesome at times, given a sliver of daylight he could go the distance, needs to be in the weightroom to improve strength but otherwise great. Russellville saw vast improvement, with almost all skill players returning they could have another great year next year. The days of Russellville challaging for a state title are over unless they go to a six class system like I have heard may be in the works.
  13. Russellville will be returning to Richmond for the first time since the mid-90s.
