The weather was terrible tonight for playing football. Ballard couldn't hang onto the ball to save their life. Mayfield played good and didn't have any turnovers this game. Ballard's starters scored on Mayfield's JV.

Yeah, lets hope these kids have the turnover bug out of their system. I am amazed there weren't any turnovers on a night like this, the rain was going sideways!!

Very impressive stat that Mayfield did not put the ball on the ground last night considering their problems the last couple of weeks. Kudos to the new center Brent Simpkins on his first night of starting at center...and what a night to do so in the monsoon type weather.

 

Also good to see Andy Trevarthan look like he is getting back into game shape and has his legs underneath of him know...which gives the Cards a different weapon in the backfield. Speaking of the backfield...did anyone else that was at the game get a little teary eyed seeing the old two-tight, wishbone set and do well out of it.
