We had a wake at the high school gym tonight. Over 1000 attended. It was very touching and gratifying to see so many in our community show up and give support to the family. We are thankful for the people such as you all, who never knew Chelsea, who are showing support to the family and our community. Thank You and may God bless you and yours ! and Merry CHRISTmas to all.

We lost a great person in our community Thursday morning. Chelsea Stinnet a senior captain on the Greenwave basketball and vollyball team passed in a tragic accident on her way to school Thursday. She was a great person who not only was a special athelete, but a person who was doing great thing in our community. She was a honorary teacher who helped the special kids at our school and voluntered at the local nursing home. She was the only senior on the Greenwave basketball team. Her mother works EMS in our county and was the first responder to the accident. When you go through this you realize that sports are not as important today as it was yesterday. I ask that whomever reads this thread to stop and say a special prayer for Chelsea and to ask God to lift up her family and friends in the tragic time. There is a special fund set up at the Meade County Bank (270 422 4141) if anyone would like to help the family. We are having a wake at the MCHS gym on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Not only the family but the community as a whole is having a hard time dealing with losing one of our own.

I think that North has the athletes and team speed to beat the Cimson. The question is , Do they have enough team discipline ? Manual by 21

I don't know about this one. I do know that The Ridge has had a hard schedule and has a couple of quality wins ,most notable a good Doss team that handed John Hardin their first regular season loss in over 2 years. PRP has plenty of team speed and are primarily a run team but can pass also .(almost 900 yards). Meade County plays tough at Death Valley. They also seem to play good against the Panthers. Meades D will have to play like it did against Woodford to have a chance in this one. Also Meade will have to be on in the passing game so that can open up the run. You can throw out the records in this game , Both teams seniors are going to leave it all on the field. I will go with the Greenwave because of where the game is being played. Great win for the Wave. This brings them up to a .500 season. Way to go out on the last game seniors and congrads. Also thank you for the dedication you have given your Greenwave family the last four years. Alright lets get ready for P.R.P next week ! Go Green !!!!

Meade Co. is very inconsistant this year. I will not make a call on this game. If we play like we did at Conner, Woodford will have a happy bus ride home. Go Green !!!!

Meade lost 15 seniors off last years team. We are a young team with seven seniors this year. We start some sophmores and 2 freshman. Take away the freshmen that dress we only have 33-34 players. Looking at Conners stats it is according to which Meade team that shows up Friday. Meade is very tough against the run and their pass defense is finally comming around. Meade had 6 ints. against North Hardin and UK signee Larod King last Friday. It's our offense that takes a while to get going. We are averaging 13 points a game and even that statistic is questionable because we scored 42 on Nelson County. If Meade can keep the score low I think they win. If Conner scores over 21 I beleive Conner has the better chance. Special teams and turnovers will also play a big part in this game. I am going with my heart. Meade 17 Conner 13 Go Green!!!!!

North tried to run the ball all night but could not break the line of scrimage. Larod King had a couple runs of 10 to 12 yards, but that is all that they could get going on the ground. When they could not run they got predictable. Therefore they had 5 or 6 ints.

Great win for the Greenwave. At least one home game in the playoffs. Both teams scored a T D in the first half, and Meade had a 24 yard Field Goal. Both teams defenses wouldn't budge in the 2nd half. Meade had a total of 6 ints. against North . Meade didn't turn the ball over. Go Green!!!!!:thumb:

wcj... Thanks for the compliments that you always give give our program. We have got to remember that we are the minority of readers to look at what we write. Our kids go to the computer as soon as they walk in the door, even before they eat when thet get home on Friday night and in many cases early Saturday morning. Keep up the good work Owenboro. Take it one first down at a time, one series at a time, and one quarter at a time. I know it is easier said than done, but you control your destiny. Good Luck from theGreen Wave Nation!!!

Owensboro came out firing on all cilinders . I was very impressed with the overall team speed of the Devils. Meade moved the ball all night ,but everytime you would think that we were getting something going Owensboro would cause a turnover. (3 ints. 3 fumbles). I was also impressed with the O-boro kicker # 3. He kicked a 44 yard field goal that would have cleard 50 right through the uprights. Flags were thrown all over the feild all night. If it would have been close I would be ramping about that. But Owensboro beat the the Greenwave in all 3 phases of the game. Now a message to the Devils, With the talent that you have, If you stay focused, you can go as far as you want this year. I have seen some of the teams that you will meet in later rounds of the playoffs. You can play with, and beat these teams if you stay focused. Meade will be ready to play against North. Coach Mofield and Coach Mattingly with get us prepared for an importantant district game. Put this one behind you an keep looking forward. Go Green!!!!!!!

I do know that Owensboro is probably the better team. It's just the better team doesn't win every time. I think that all who read my posts know that I talk with my heart more than my head. I am die hard Meade Co. I love these kids, and am proud of them. I have one who went through the program and graduated in 05. I have one playing JV and Varsity now. I have one playing freshman. I have one playing youth. That is four games a week I am blessed to go to. I am living any dads dream!! I can't waite for football every year, then I can't waite for football on Friday nights. The Meade kids have never been fast , big, and have had one D 1 player on the team in the last 30 years. But that being said , we believe we can beat anyone ! That is half the battle. Our kids have the support of our whole county. And our kids have heart, heart is the thing you can judge only after the game is over. We may lose Friday to a great Owensboro team. But don't tell our kids, they will not believe you!! Good luck Owensboro (but not too much) Go Green!!!!!!

I also believe this one will be tight. Meade seems to be getting back on track after starting 0-3. Owensboro started the season strong and has yet to miss a beat. Looking at the stats Meade's offense consists of about 80% run and 20 pass. Owensboro runs more but that opens up the pass in which they have been successful. Owensboro has also had great play from their special teams. I do not see the Greenwave kicking the ball long on kickoffs because we lack team speed. Turnovers will probably play a big role in this game. The team who can take care of the ball and cause a few T.O.s will come away with the win. Meade Co. has been running the same plays for at least a decade. Teams can look at film from 5 years ago and prepare thier teams to play the Waves. Having said that, it doesn't matter because if a team can execute and stay with the blocks they will be hard to beat. Both teams are comming off an extra week to prepare for each other. The Devils will probably be heavy favorites, but there is something about this bunch of Meade kids. I say Meade in a close one . But if the Devils get the ball rolling it could get ugly for us. Meade 19 Owensboro 17 GO GREEN !!!!!

Thoughts??

I have been watching BC play for 10 years now. They are aways an imposing team on paper and look even better in uniform. BC always has big ol boys up front. And also they have skilled players playing in skilled positions. But when the game starts they just couldn't put all the pieces together. I believe that they got a good bunch of kids who hated losing more than they liked winning. Good Luck Cougars , And keep on playing YOUR game.

Which game ? On Monday I go to my sophmores sons JV game. On Thursday I have my other sons freshman game. On Friday, well you know.. On Saturday my youngest has flag football. I go to church on Sundays and then rest up for Monday again. Would not trade it for nothing!:thumb:
