And, like last year, it was Meade's fourth consecutive of the season after that 0-3 start. I sense a similar finish this year, with Meade winning by two or three TDs.

That's a pretty bold statement. Just so you know OHS hasnt' given up 21 points to anybody all year long. It is possible that Meade could win, but the Red Devils will not lose in a blow out.

 

I'll take OHS 24 - 10.

I also believe this one will be tight. Meade seems to be getting back on track after starting 0-3. Owensboro started the season strong and has yet to miss a beat. Looking at the stats Meade's offense consists of about 80% run and 20 pass. Owensboro runs more but that opens up the pass in which they have been successful. Owensboro has also had great play from their special teams. I do not see the Greenwave kicking the ball long on kickoffs because we lack team speed. Turnovers will probably play a big role in this game. The team who can take care of the ball and cause a few T.O.s will come away with the win.

Meade Co. has been running the same plays for at least a decade. Teams can look at film from 5 years ago and prepare thier teams to play the Waves. Having said that, it doesn't matter because if a team can execute and stay with the blocks they will be hard to beat. Both teams are comming off an extra week to prepare for each other. The Devils will probably be heavy favorites, but there is something about this bunch of Meade kids. I say Meade in a close one . But if the Devils get the ball rolling it could get ugly for us.

Jeb like your passion but I will give you a little advice maybe you guys should just kick the ball out of bounds on kickoff because if it goes past 10 or 15 yards every guy on OHS's kickoff return team can out run a rabbit and I am putting that lightly they are fast.

 

Meade Co. seems to always give Owensboro trouble but I think this year the Devils are stronger offensively and have replaced size with speed on defense. Last year OHS was strong on both sides of the ball and this year they are just flatout fast.

 

I look for a close game because it always is if history repeats itself but if OHS can use their speed they could really role in this one. Everyone should remember John Hardin only beat Meade 16-0 and they are suppose to be the team to take the thrown from Highlands this year.

Owensboro's defense will dictate this game. Meade may pull this out if they can force turnovers and captilize on special teams. Owensboro in a close one:

I do know that Owensboro is probably the better team. It's just the better team doesn't win every time. I think that all who read my posts know that I talk with my heart more than my head. I am die hard Meade Co. I love these kids, and am proud of them. I have one who went through the program and graduated in 05. I have one playing JV and Varsity now. I have one playing freshman. I have one playing youth. That is four games a week I am blessed to go to. I am living any dads dream!! I can't waite for football every year, then I can't waite for football on Friday nights. The Meade kids have never been fast , big, and have had one D 1 player on the team in the last 30 years. But that being said , we believe we can beat anyone ! That is half the battle. Our kids have the support of our whole county. And our kids have heart, heart is the thing you can judge only after the game is over. We may lose Friday to a great Owensboro team. But don't tell our kids, they will not believe you!!

Jeb you are so right your kids do have heart and you can't teach that you either have or you don't. I hope that is our kids they are young but for the most part haven't lost but a few games so I think they expect to win sometimes that can be good and well you know sometimes that can be bad. I have told my son all week that this will not be some walk in the park and I think the coach has echoed that. Hopefully we will be ready to play and play well win or lose.
