And like I said earlier I would believe someone that is VERY close to Kasey over a second hand account of what someone else said that he ran. UKCATSFAN would be the one to believe. If he says that Kasey ran a 4.5 then I will believe him. If he mistyped his response then I will understand that as well.

Were you there to witness this? I would take the word of someone that it VERY close to Kasey over someone that is just voicing an opinion.

Which is actually no longer the Ashland Daily Independent. It is now just The Independent. If i'm not mistaken.

The Russell 05 team did the same thing. Myself, Coach McGlone and The AD sat down and met with Balfour and designed the rings. We then presented the design to the seniors for approval. We went win gold selenium for the cost savings. Still had to raise almost 15,000. But the parents had to option to help raise money or donate. We never sent order forms home. Everyone got the same ring so the issue whether they could afford it or not was not a factor.

Maybe but i doubt Corbin got 239 students to help them out.

:laugh: :laugh: I think there will be several people step in and do a fine job of RB by commitee. Tyler Jones comes to mind. Drew Abrams and David Bailey should contribute as well. Good to see people think that 1 player makes a whole team. There are 10 other guys on the field that would probably have a different opinion. But oh well that's just my opinion.

I'm not making excuses. I am going by what his father and the trainer said. If you noticed in the state game he was not 100%. That is part of the reason Kasey got stopped. Plus that is part of the reason that they did not go to him every play. Not saying that if he was 100% that he would have ran over everyone. Just putting that information out there. If you remember in 04 Josh Gross played all season with a brace on his leg and was almost unstoppable.

You had every opportunity to beat Russell but did not because the defense stepped up and stopped them. As for hurting. Kasey Clark had a torn meniscus, Jacob Sizemore had just recently came back from surgery, Nick Lewis had just came back from a broken collar bone. There are 3 pretty significant issues right off the top of my head. All in all it was a decent game and if you came away unimpressed with Russell then that was your perogitave. Russell plays solid, fundamental football and most people from this area know and respect that. If Russell was the 3rd or 4th best team you played all year i would like to know who was better?

Funny you mention that. I was a the AA game and talking to a friend of mine and he made the comment that it was hard to tell who played and who didn't. There was no dirt on the uniforms.

It is my understanding that Russell tried to schedule Highlands. There was a scheduling conflict. I believe Russell needed a late season home game and from what I understand had trouble getting one. They finally scheduled Simon Kenton to fill the void. Would have loved to see the Highlands game on the schedule.

True but the main stat is all that counts in the championship game. What does it matter if Russell had 1000 yards total offense if they could only put 12 points on the board. I am as big a Russell supporter as the majority out there but I realize that the final score is really all that matters. Stats look good on paper and in the record books but have no bearing on the game if you can't put the points up.

I came in at about 10:30-10:45 and drove straight into the stadiums overflow parking lot. All I had to do was walk thru the tunnel and across the parking lot to the stadium. I took the right at the exit and followed traffic till it came to a stand still. I then turned back around and went in the way I did last year. After you came off the exit at 265 you took and immediate left and it takes the back road to the stadium. No wait at all.

And the sad thing about this is...As good as he is and as fast as he is he will have a tough way to go trying to play higher up than high school. It's not fair some of the talent that gets lost just because they are considered small. Kind of reminds me of a certain back from the Russell system. What a joy to watch but what an aggrevation to know that their size does not get them many looks when it comes to large schools where that could show their talent.

Devils should be leaving about 9:00am. The parade will start at the high school and go past the middle school, the elementary and the intermediate school before heading up Red Devil lane towards the 'ville. I would also like to congratulate the seniors on both teams for a wonderful year and what a way to go out. The state game it doesn't get any better. I know my son finished his football career at the state game last year. This one has a little less meaning to me but I will be there to support my Devils.

Could that be why you voted for Russell in the poll?
