Congrats Central!! Hopefully Coach Mac can turn the Central program into a solid football program but there is a lot of work to be done. There is no reason that Pike Central, East Ridge, and Shelby Valley all shouldn't have solid football programs. All 3 schools have a lot of athletic and big kids every year walking the halls of their schools most years. The communities and schools need to get behind the programs and get the kids excited about football. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season...

I don't think either team will be in position to "run it up". By just looking at the final score from the East Jessamine-Pulaski County game, EJ must be pretty good this year. A lot of people thought Pikeville would get beat last year in the bowl at Corbin but the Panthers went home with a 34-0 win over the host team. Coach J will have his team ready to play and I'm sure East will be ready also...should be a good game IMO.

I hope he sticks with his commitment to the Cats because Jefferson seems to have a lot of potential at either WR or DB. Rivals shows him having offers from West Virginia, Cincy, Louisville, and Northwestern along with the Cats...which if true is a pretty good offer list.

:thumb: Being a Pikeville fan I have been on the losing side of the scoreboard a lot of times against Beechwood but their program and fans are 1st class all the way IMO.

Yes...If the current format of all 6 Pike County Schools playing in the Pike County Bowl and playing on Friday and Saturday continues then I hope Pikeville will choose to no longer participate in the Pike County Bowl and start their own bowl game. I don't think Pikeville would have any problem bringing in 3 good teams for a bowl game...of course I would love to see Belfry still in it.
