Oldham had some really good teams. -
Dunbar 37 Tates Creek 34

Maybe someone can give us who did or didn't play. Dunbar has won one out of the last 11 games before this game. They lost by 41 last time they played Tates Creek. This doesnt make any sense. -

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was tryng to say that when Shelby was one School and Scott co and Bullit East there it was much better as far as quality teams in the talent sense. Yes Oldham and Anderson sometimes made it fun during regional. -

Its sad to say where the 8th region has become. With Shelby Co as the only school , Scott Co and Bullit East taking diffferent routes, it has sure been watered down. -

I dont think they have a tough time scoring they are averaging in the 70's. They are having a tough time getting started. They come out in a daze at times. When people try to slow it down on them they are not a very good team in the half court. I really think Scott Co can win the region. They will have to step up their defense to win this region. -

This does not surprise me the way Scott Co has been playing the last 4 games. Its gonna take a team effort to get all the players back on the same page. It can be done but is not where you want to be at this time of year. -
Looking at the overall strength based on an average of teams. The 11th had the overall highest rating. This is from the Lit REGION 11 1.Lexington Catholic 95.9 2.Scott County 95.6 3.Tates Creek 94.1 4.Henry Clay 92.5 5.Bryan Station 85.5 6.Madison Central 83.1 7.Paul Dunbar 80.2 8.Lafayette 79.5 9.Lexington Christian 77.4 10.Franklin County 77.3 11.Woodford County 74.8 12.Frankfort 74.7 13.Western Hills 70.2 14.Madison Southern 68.0 15.Sayre 65.3 16.Berea 64.3 17.Model 57.9 REGION 7 1.Eastern 107.9 2.Jeffersontown 101.9 3.Ballard 99.9 4.Trinity 93.8 5.Moore 92.0 6.St. Xavier 84.3 7.Male 82.9 8.Seneca 82.9 9.Fern Creek 82.7 10.Manual 78.1 11.Christian Academy 74.8 12.KCD 64.7 13.Waggener 61.6 14.Whitefield Academy 60.7 15.Collegiate 58.2 16.Atherton 52.9

George Rogers Clark 63 Western 58

Looking at the stats, its very unusual for a game as this for team to shoot only one foul shot for the game. For Western to get to the line only once .....its most likely got Coach Handley scratching his head on this one for a long time. -

If Tates Creek stays healthy they could be the surprise of the state if they get out of the 11th. Like the 7th its a battle, clearly the second best region in the state from top to bottom. -

There is no doubt GRC will be a hard out for anybody that plays them the rest of the season. Could be a sloppy game tonight with both teams having tough semifinal games. Winnning as impressive as they have been shows alot of leadership and maturity of the seniors having been through the fire over the last three years. Its about as good of a GRC team as Ive seen over the last thirty years. A loss in the first round of the Sweet 16 would be a major dissapointment. -

This game was suppose to be in Gtown...they did a trade off to get Clark in the Toyota Classic. I dont know if Scott clo will get a second chance to play them again. There are some pretty good teams in that tournament this year. -

I dont really see Clark County falling apart this year like they did last year. They are far the best in the 10th year. They have all the weapons but a true point gaurd. They wont have to worry about that in the region. Come March thats a different story. The pressure did bother them in the third. -

Sorry about that gold sunrise that was in the third quarter with a minute and a half to go they cut it to 4. I did mention it in an earlier post if you would of read it correctly !! -

A minute and a half to go Scott Co had it down to 4. Had no legs left in the fourth. Clark hit them early and it was crucial in the win. -

Good win for Clark Co. Scott Co made their run and cut it to 4 in the 3rd quarter and Clark Co was able to regroup in the fourth. Good teams find a way to win and the better team won tonight. -
It did not sound like he was stating they were inferior as you thought he did. He was just making a comment.
-
For a tournament that has been around for a while there is no schedule for the tournament anywhere, not even on the schools website.
-
I heard the other way around...they dont want Scott County there because there was enough good teams allready.
