No. 4 Jeffersontown had only 10 points in the first half against No. 8 Tates Creek in the featured game of the Joe B. Hall Prep Classic at Montgomery County on Saturday night.

Interesting...

J-town did not impress me. They really seemed out of sync. It seemed their coach kept yelling to run a play and the players could never run it. Missing players is one thing, but this was not the first game and they did have Kimbo back.

I like the hustle that Tates Creek has, but I do not think I could stand very many games with their coach. Constantly yelling!!!!!

If Tates Creek stays healthy they could be the surprise of the state if they get out of the 11th. Like the 7th its a battle, clearly the second best region in the state from top to bottom.

Thought about sticking around for this one to see if J'Town was all that, but decided against.

Good win for Tates Creek. The 11th will be war with a lot of teams able to win it.

Coach Breeden has a system, players know and accept their roles, game plan each and every game as he scouts constantly....this is a prime example of how to win with what you have on the floor...he does a great job!!

Wow...nice win for Coach Breeden and the Commodores.

 

Fucci and Barksdale are one of the top duos in the state and sounds like they were both key in this W with 20 and 15, respectively.

 

I talked to Marcellus before the season started and he said that he really felt this Tates Creek team has what it takes to surprise the state. His words are proving to be correct.

I'm wondering if there might be a little trouble within the J'town team?

Breeden is a very good coach. He likes to slow the game down and gets the most out of what talent he has. Helps a lot having Barkesdale and Fucci. Wasn't Jeffersontown still missing Zach Price?

If I'm not mistaken, Breeden and Morrow were both student assistants at UK at one point (one under Hall, the other under Pitino). I've heard this from numerous places, but haven't had any official confirmation (media guide, etc.) so someone please correct me if this is inaccurate.
