Good win after playing two games today.

Good comeback by GRC after Western made their run.

Looking at the stats, its very unusual for a game as this for team to shoot only one foul shot for the game. For Western to get to the line only once .....its most likely got Coach Handley scratching his head on this one for a long time.

Just got in from the game. The Cards came out smoking in the first half. Had a 16 point lead at the half. Western went on a big run in the 3rd to cut the lead to 2 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. Cory Rogers and Travis Purvis took it inside and they had no answere for them. We had no answer for Ryan Taylor, man did he light it up. Western is a well coached team. Look for them to come out of their region.

Huge statement by the Cards to win the Toyota Classic without Zollo. Travis Purvis and Bopper Stenzel played their tails off tonight. Very proud of all the Cards and the great effort they gave in this tourney. They played 3 games in 27 hours all against state ranked teams....great experience and getting ready for the post season.

Another very good performance by GRC over yet another ranked team. Purvis really filled in for Zollo. Cards did not break after Western's comeback and got the job done. The 1-3-1 zone really bothered Western in the first half and it allowed the Cards to rest some and stay out of foul trouble. Taylor is a very nice player.

Travis Purvis had 19 points and eight rebounds, and Clark County beat Western 63-58 in the finals of the Toyota Classic at Scott County. Corey Rogers added 16 points, and Robbie Stenzel continued his stellar day with 11 points, eight boards and five assists for the Cardinals, No. 3 in Dave Cantrall's Rating the State.

Stenzel had 29 points and 12 rebounds in Clark County's 71-57 semifinal win over Christian County earlier Saturday.

Ryan Taylor led Western with 23 points and 10 rebounds after finishing with 37 and 20 in an 83-80 overtime victory against Scott County in the semifinals.

I would like to know one thing, who makes the decisions on who gets the player of the game award. I sure hope it's not the coaches because who ever it was did Travis Purvis an injustice tonight in the final game. Purvis was the person who deserved that award tonight, hands down.

Great Job Cards! Congrats on winning the whole Tournament. Keep up the good work!

Cards continue to show why they're a legit threat to cut the nets down at Rupp.

Lets get past MC first, maybe the key is to have Zollo on the bench after this weekend's performance:idunno:

When was the last time GRC won the Region? How did they do that year at Rupp?

Goldie, do you have your room reserved yet?

Preston Knowles senior year was the last time GRC won the region. I believe it was 2007.

Coaches normally do decide player of the game(coach of winning team)
