Personally I think LC football is OK. The past few seasons have been really tough for fans and even more the Players and coaching staff. Billy does have some support in adminstration but there are a couple on the board that would rather see the money football brings in given to another sport that is still pretty new to LC and produced two brothers that were state champs "hint, hint" Billy still needs more help in the coaching department. They have alot of coaches but most of them are volunteering their time to help LC football and Billy. I know of several rumors that were flying around LC during the football season about Billy and other things, but after talking to several people close to the program they are just that RUMORS!! So end of that discussion. Now for the future of LC football, it is a bright one. I am not saying next season you will see a 10 - 0 season but with hard work in weight room this winter LC will improve. There is still alot of work to be done on the field such as learning to hold onto the football. If not for turnovers this year LC could have been close to a .500 ball club or even 6-4. I seen and heard alot of good things about the youth at LC and it is promising. JC Alumni stated if LC could keep their talent, I think they can. The last 2 that transferred wasn't for sport reasons, it just happened to be their top 2 players from the year before. LC will keep their talent and grow back into the proud program it has become over the last 20 years. :thumb:

Congrats to all the Seniors for Lawrence County, I heard alot of the senior class took a dive in the mud after the game to celebrate. LC fans(true LC fans) never gave up on this team and even with me in another state I stayed up with the program the whole season. Now for those wondering, Billy will be back next year he made the announcement last week before the game and he even made a quote to the Daily Independent commenting that LC started 6 freshman and there is plenty of talent in the cupboard coming up. Congrats to my cuz Coty Roberts for an outstanding game. 204 yards rushing 2 TD and on defense tackling the QB in the endzone for a Safety. Now Bulldogs take a couple weeks off and start conditioning for next year.

First, Congrats to Ashland on their Victory. Now for Lawrence County sounds like another game where they played great for half or 3 quarters and then the game got away from them. Now did Coty Roberts do and also Morgan Roberts and Fitzpatrick? Did LC turn the ball over?

Hey NCF what do you think about Hilliard Davidson this year? Also I am making plans to go to the West Jeff / Fisher Catholic game in West Jeff, you ought to try and make it. It is on Oct. 13th.

I believe JR House played for Poca High School and they are and have always been a traditional power in WV. I don't recall very many games that they could run the score up playing in the Charleston-Huntington area which has pretty good football teams.

NCF was right, they are a little better this year than last year. But even at that Bishop Watterson needed to beat CovCath to stay in the playoff hunt. They were ranked 8th in D-II Region 7 standings heading into the CovCath game and now after winning they moved up to third.

LC has alot of Juniors and Sophomores on the team. I believe they are only 3 or 4 starters that are seniors. About the delay of game, as I mentioned earlier the KHSAA changed the rule a couple of years ago too when the play is over and the ball is placed on the hash mark or between the hashes the Play clock starts. The purpose of the rule was to speed up the game. If Breathitt hasn't seen officials do this alot, they will when they have a officials from a different part of the state just like the one that was there Friday.

I have accepted defeat and nowhere did I say I didn't. I am a good sport, I was just stating the fact that Breathitt cannot make the small mistakes against a better team than LC. It doesn't matter who made the mistake players or coaches it will come back and bite you. In case you didn't know couple of years ago the KHSAA changed the rule when the play clock starts, I thought the officials called an outstanding game, I don't know where they were from but they weren't local. Who didn't start the clock when Breathitt had the ball? Officials or scorekeeper?

Second thing, The field was only muddy in the midfield area. Yes it was slippery but what do you expect when it rains as much as did. This field was 200% better than it was when Breathitt last came to Lawrence County with the "Streak". Now my take on the game. Lawrence County moved to ball well but once again fumbles killed drives. Breathitt was good but not as good alot of people think. They had at least 5 delay of game penalties. You cannot have this, if you playing a better team. It was 7-0 at the half and LC looked like they could hang around and make something happen, but that is when the fumbles came.

I think KHSAA website had Boyd winning this game when I looked at some scores friday night.

Looks like St. X is going to win. I can say that Highlands is the favorite in 3A, and St. X in the second half anyway is still the favorite in 4A.
