Johnson Central 2000 vs. Johnson Central 2006
Webb was greyshirted at UK under Morris. He never played because of academic issues, but regardless he was still good enough to be courted and signed by UK. Your right , the whole point I was trying to make is that you cannot have the success that the 2000 team had while playing a 4A schedule and have "only two players." That's ridiculous.

Johnson Central 2000 vs. Johnson Central 2006
Webb signed with UK (only Johnson Central player to ever do so) and Sublett with Morehead, so those must have been two pretty good players in the eyes of someone. Salyers I think did sign with Campbellsville and I dont think that Music went anywhere, so I think that they were slightly better than a two man team.

Johnson Central 2000 vs. Johnson Central 2006
Whoa there a minute . I cant believe you just made that statement. You may want to rethink that one. Those may have been some of the best linemen to ever come through Johnson County at either school.

Hoover, AL looking for game on 9/29/07
I dont think that when Johnson Central's schedule was made out a couple of years ago that it was considered to be all that weak. I think for whatever reasons, a lot of the programs that are traditionally strong all hit those occasional dry spells at a similar time. It has not been all of Johnson Central's fault for the strength of this years schedule. The district is also uncharactoristicly weak this year, and those games have to all be played regardless.

Morehead State Baseball Scrimmage
??? Were these pitchers throwing to live batters or just working off the mound? It's hard to judge Chase's velocity without a gun, he is so smooth and effortless looking it can be deceiving.

Ashland 20 Mason Co. 13
They actually were not turnovers as the recovered the ball all 8 times.
-
Johnson Central 49 Greenup Co. 7
No we gave them 3 and 1/2 each time they crossed their own 40.
-
Ashland 20 Mason Co. 13
Dickie said that they had 8, but recovered them all.

Johnson Central vs. Greenup County part 2
All high schools play basketball games when there is school the next day. They play baseball games when there is school the next day. They play soccer games when there is school the next day. Middle schools and freshman teams play all of there games during the middle of the week. What would be the difference? It's not like you are traveling half way across the state to play, it's just a little more than an hour drive. As it was noted earlier JC obliged Greenup last year by playing on thursday night.

top ten players in the 15th
Just goes to show how worthless these preseason polls and predictions usually are. I would say that the Cats Paws spends all of a microsecond researching anything about the 15th region anyways.

Best pitchers in the 12th region in 2007?
Saw Witten pitch in Huntington over the summer in a tournament playing for the Mustangs and he topped out at 90 on one pitch. Stayed mostly in the 86-88 range, and as some have mentioned had absolutely no fastball movement. He was rocked pretty hard in that particular game. He may be a great hitter as well, but in that tournament he struck out 4 times that I know of, but he did hit one home run.

Best kickers in your school's history
Darrel Blair might dispute you on that.

Johnson Central 56 Paintsville 6
Funny that you should mention some of the boys painted blue. I overheard one of the blue boys, (which by the way played last year) really dogging and saying not so nice things about his former teammates during the game. With that kind of an attitude I would think that Paintsville's football team is better off without some of them. I think the last thing they need right now is a cancerous element on the team. I was impressed with those that were on the field, that they never gave up and played hard all the way to the end of the game. In my opinion that is what it's all about anyways.

We get even "warmer" and "fuzzier". Thanks can never be enough.:thumb:

Isn't it true that Ashland just hasn't gotten around to playing some these nobodies that Ashland will themselves be playing in a couple of weeks?

Johnson Central vs. Greenup County
Traditionaly some of the teams that Central has played are not so weak. North Laurel is usually a pretty good 4A team. A few years ago Bryan Station was a powerhouse(and in my opinion still have the best collection of athletes I have seen all year), Logan, WVA is usually decent, and Lawrence County is only a few years removed from being a state power, and Boyd County always has good teams. Paintsville is usually one of the stronger Single A teams in the east and in most years would be the equivalent to or better than the Raceland team that whupped on the Tomcats just this year. Matter of fact Paintsville rolled all over Raceland just last year. Some of these games are scheduled years in advance, so it's hard to predict when the down years could happen to normally sound programs. One thing that our "humble" buddy GIAT is also failing to mention in his belittlement of JC's schedule is that some of the teams he is criticizing JC for playing will be the exact same district teams that the uppity Tomcats will themselves play in a few weeks. If Johnson Central is guilty of a weak schedule then Ashland can be just as guilty, because over the term of the year I think you can say they basicly resemble one another.

Seriously??? How many times over the last couple of years have we heard Paintsville fans ridicule coach Matney for accusing him of wanting to put an end to the series? Interesting.

Johnson Central 56 Paintsville 6
He cant help it, that's the way the his cohorts in crime have raised him. Let him pick up a few popcorn boxes or pull a few weeds after the JC game at Eagle Field and he'll calm right down.

Johnson Central 56 Paintsville 6
I think even Watusi has mentioned time and time again that Matney would not end up at Belfry. I really can't figure you out 'joe. For parts of the season you have seemed genuine saying nice things about the JC porogram and then for some unknown reason then you become the oneijoe of old. The joe that cant help but to throw in that envious jab( et. $$$$...sure does good things) that you have worn out over the years or that other worn out (just wait till Haywood leaves) comment. You must stay awake night after night after night worring about coach Matney and how the JCBOE spends it's money. You sure harp and whine around enough about it. Does just the thought of coach Matney haunt you so much that it has taken control of your life? So much for apparent sincerity. lol

Johnson Central's side was full, and Johnson Central fans took up about an entire 3rd of Paintsville's side seating. The rails were full of standing observers as usual. It was a full house , but I'm guessing that there were still alot of fans from both sides that did not attend due to the fear of no seating and the threat of a blowout game.

It creates a huge shot in the arm for both school's athletic budgets is about all you can say. That in itsself may be what keeps the series alive.

Anyone know what happened to Antonio Owens?
Maybe Tiny can tell what's going on with him.
