Which team do you think would win in a head-to-head matchup and why.

Come on Eagle fans I know some of who have some input of this.

2006 in an easy game.

Eagle '01... that would be the 2000 team, they went 11-1. The 2001 team went 2-8.

 

This years team is better than the 2000 team no question. The 2000 team had Scott Salyer and Casey Music. That is it, they did have a good line, but those 2 were the team. This years team has more depth than any team to ever wear the black and gold.

I would have to say.

2000 - 16

 

The defense for the 2006 team has stopped better running attacks than the 2000 team had. The offense for the 2006 team can get put points on the board.

Whoa there a minute . I cant believe you just made that statement. You may want to rethink that one.

Jeremy Murray, Jeremy Perry, T.J. Music, Adam Collins, Paul Webb, Derrick Sublett, Marc Shepherd, Josh Music all were good players. But Casey and Scott IMO was the team on both sides of the ball.

Well like many have said before you are talking about the 2000 team lead by Coach Bill Musick that went 11-1 and not the 2001 team which was Coached by Bruce Humphery and went 2-8.

 

Now as far as a matchup, I think that its hard to guess. With the 2000 team you had a huge team with alot of power and very limited depth while the current 2006 team you has alot of all around speed with alot of overall depth. The 2000 team played a much tougher schedule in Class 4A but narrowly won most of its games while the 2006 team has played a softer schedule but has blown out everyone it has played. I personally would give a slight edge to the current 2006 team because of the ability to be balanced offensively while the 2000 was very very one dimensional and in my opinion is the reason that they werent in the state semifinals. Both teams were great defensively but the offensive balance that the 2006 team has leads me to give them the edge.
