Ok... the last thread got off topic. Lets only discuss Johnson Central vs. Greenup County this time. The game is 2 days away. Hopefully we can keep this thread open until then.

Johnson Central is on a roll and no way they are going to be stopped. I see them winning by 28.

Wow, I leave for one day and come back and the thread is shut down. I still think JC wins by 5 touchdowns in this one.

Greenup was without their head coach last week against Ashland & I think that took away form their focus and discipline. If Coach Sammons is back this week I think you see a better GC team. but it will not be enough to handle a very talented JC football team.

If Johnson Central is going to be caught looking ahead to a future opponent, this will be the week that it happens. Greenup County may hang around for a half, but if they do, Matney will adjust attitudes at halftime and the Golden Eagles should dominate the second half. I am going to say Johnson Central 35-12, as JK Ratliff shakes the rust off in his first extended action in weeks, and JC provides a glimmer of hope to the Tomcat and Royals faithfull.

Since you bring it up, Din0…I wouldn’t presume to speak for the Royals constituency, but the “hope” tank on Ashland’s side is getting good mileage and is far from empty.

The final of this game will show that JC is not looking ahead to anybody. JC should win this game by 7 touchdowns.

I don't look for a high scoring affair. The field was extremely muddy last night and we got more rain so??? I can't wait to see Justin back on the field where he belongs.

Everybody needs to get out today for apple day, hang out in town for awhile... then come to eagle field and watch a good football game. Lakeview.... try and save me a spot if you know what I mean.

Greenup Co. has school today. I can fully understand their administration not wanting to play the game last night.

All high schools play basketball games when there is school the next day. They play baseball games when there is school the next day. They play soccer games when there is school the next day. Middle schools and freshman teams play all of there games during the middle of the week. What would be the difference? It's not like you are traveling half way across the state to play, it's just a little more than an hour drive. As it was noted earlier JC obliged Greenup last year by playing on thursday night.
