Is it over?

I cant give you a complete answer in terms of the thought process behind this, but its b/c of the "Superdistrict" that is the combination of the 59th and 60th districts. Because these two districts have combined to play one tournament, there had to be a consolation game to decide which teams would qualify for the regional tourney (the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams) and which would have to be a part of a "play-in" game (the 4th place team)to qualify for the region. Similiarly, the 57th had to play a consolation game to decide the other team that would be in the play-in game (i think it was their 3rd place team). Its all very confusing but I hope this helps.

I think I know who you are referring to, but thats not the "big name" I've heard associated with the Pike Central job.

SW looked awful. Im not sure I've ever seen a team execute more poorly than they did tonight. I am completely blown away by how bad SW played but maybe i just expected too much from them.

Station definitely got a bad break in the tiebreaker. They are a good team, very athletic with some excellent players. I was very impressed by them when they came to Johnson Central. If they had gotten a different draw, they would probably be good enough to win a few games in the 5A playoffs. That being said, no way they win at Highlands. Bluebirds by as many as they want.

I dont really think Pike Central can play with Russell in this game, but I hope I'm wrong about that. I would love to see the Hawks go up there and win, but from what I hear, they are still a year or two away from being able to compete with teams of this caliber. If Central can avoid early mistakes, find a way to make one or two big plays, and gain some confidence that they can hang with the Red Devils, then it may be possible. But I see Russell winning this one by 3 or 4 TDs.

I believe my bunch will wind up watching Southwestern at Letcher. Should be a decent game.

I could be wrong, but its possible that it was Fugate who hurt LCA's QB. On one play late in the 2nd quarter, Fugate put a big hit on him. He played the rest of the quarter but then didnt return. As for Fugate, unbelievable game. I bet the kid slept well last night.

This should be a great game. I definitely agree with you on the keys to the game, if you Fugate gets tons of carries and can find some space to run, Breathitt will be able control the clock and keep the score relatively low. If thats the case, they have a great shot at taking down LCA. On the other hand, Breathitt could have trouble matching LCA's explosiveness, and Im not sure Breathitt can keep up with LCA in a shootout. Give me Breathitt to win this one, something like 27-21.

Can someone give me directions to the stadium? I'll be coming into Ashland on 23 from the south. Last time I went to a game there, I got lost, but somehow lucked into finding it. Not sure I could do it again.

Thanks. I checked it out on Yahoo Maps and it seemed pretty simple. Are the road signs pretty self-explanatory (cause, in my experiences, sometimes they are and sometimes they aren't)? And will I be able to see the lights of the stadium pretty easily?

Thinking about trying to make it up to Raceland for this one tomorrow night. Can someone PM me directions to the field? I'll be coming from Pikeville. I know to take US 23 north to Ashland, but what do I need to do after that?
