Its actually called MRSA and its a type of staph that is resistant to typical "anti-staph" antibiotics. But there are still 5 or 6 antibiotics on the market that can effectively treat an MRSA infection. Some of the antibiotics have to be administered IV and some of them can be given orally. The key to preventing an outbreak is to disinfect all equipment and to not share towels, etc. Its something that all athletic programs should be aware of b/c it can be a serious problem when proper preventative measures aren't in place.

I'm curious to see how the younger Stepp kid from JBS (i believe its Clint Stepp) plays at Rupp. His normal style is to come out gunning from the moment he steps on the floor. Seems to be a fearless player. I hope to see the same kind of play from him during the state tourney.

After watching these two teams play last night, I really thought Scott Co would win this game by 10 or 15 points. And it looks like the game was headed that way for a while until Madison Central woke up and wound up winning a thriller. Very mad at myself because I decided not to go watch this one now.
