King of the Carpet Contest (Round #1)

Featured Replies

This is actually two contests in one. All you have to do is pick the winner of all ten games like you have been doing all year (seven 1pt games, two 3pt games of your choice, and one 5pt super game that we choose). The weekly winner gets his/her normal prize. In addition to the normal contest we will being keeping a cumulative total of points scored in the contest and the member with the most points after the state finals will win our grand prize. For the cumulative (King of the Carpet Contest) each game in round 1 of the playoffs is worth one point, next week each game will be worth two points ,third round each game will be worth three points, forth round (Semi-Finals week)each game will be worth five points and for the CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES the 1A game will be worth 5 points, the 3A game will be worth 10 points, the 5A game will be worth 15 points and the 2A game will be worth 20 points the 4A game will be worth 25 points and the 6A game will be worth 35 points . In other words, you pick the ten games like you have always done. For the Pick 10 contest you can get 18 possible points (because you have two 3pt games and one 5pt game). For the King of the Carpet Contest you can only get 10 possible points (because every game is worth 1pt this week). Just pick the ten games like you normally do and leave the scoring to us.

A quality prize goes to the winner. Check here for a reference.

There will be TWO tiebreakers: (1) TOTAL POINTS scored in the 5pt Super Game and (2) Time of post.

If you win the cumulative contest you will have your pick of several grand prizes!

The deadline for all entries is 5pm EDT Friday , November the 14th , 2008.
